SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗511 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Hera Orbit Determination Covariance Analysis of Didymos Binary Asteroid with the Full Two-Body Problem ↗
Standard planetary radio science analyses may be inadequate for accurately interpreting data from the Hera mission at the Didymos system due to the anticipated challenge posed by the coupling between the translational and rotational motions of the asteroids. A more precise dynamical model, the full two-body problem model, which includes a mutual gravitational potential, may be required to fit the Hera data properly. This work presents a covariance analysis of the Hera radio science experiment using this advanced model. The tested dynamical scenarios are based on recent lightcurve observations…

A Blind Architecture for Signal Combining in Distributed Satellite Communications ↗
To meet the increasing demand for high data rates in satellite communications (SATCOM), the requirements in terms of link quality and reliability are also increasing. Reception of SATCOM signals with multiple ground stations and combining them to increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) provides a flexible and robust alternative to larger antenna dish sizes and higher transmit powers. In practical scenarios, the signals received at different ground stations may exhibit different time delays, phase/frequency offsets and noise powers. This might be due to movement of the satellite in low-earth o…

Quantum Computing in Space: Engineering Challenges, Fundamental Limits, and Perspectives ↗
Quantum computer deployment in space remains constrained by demanding hardware, environmental, and communications requirements. This paper reviews the opportunities and challenges of using quantum computing in space systems. It focuses on payload integration, radiation protection, quantum-memory stability, autonomous hybrid classical–quantum control, and quantum-network performance. The work is integrative, not novel in algorithms, architecture, optimization, or experiments. It organizes reviewed literature around system-level deployment barriers and highlights open research gaps. Compared wit…

Heat transfer enhancement in regeneratively cooled rocket engine channels using interrupted staggered inclined ribs ↗
Liquid rocket engine thrust chambers experience heat fluxes up to 160 MW/m 2 , requiring highly effective regenerative cooling. This study investigates interrupted staggered inclined ribs for enhancing heat transfer in rectangular cooling channels with supercritical hydrogen. Three-dimensional conjugate heat-transfer simulations using the k - ω SST model show that the interrupted ribs generate local jet acceleration and secondary vortices, improving near-wall mixing while reducing flow blockage compared with continuous ribs. A regularized dual-hidden-layer backpropagation neural-network surrog…

Robotic order picking in cellular warehousing based on a time–space–state network ↗
Goods-to-person order picking, such as robotic mobile fulfillment systems, is prevalent in e-commerce order fulfillment. However, the efficiency of robot transportation is hindered by the need to transport entire pods containing numerous stock-keeping units (SKUs), most of which are not required for the orders being fulfilled. This paper considers a new robotic cellular warehousing system that achieves efficient robot transportation by having robots transport only the SKUs requested in an order and by enabling them to perform both transport and picking operations. This is accomplished through…

Development of an efficient 4 K space JT cryocooler precooling with Stirling and pulse tube coolers ↗
Helium Joule-Thomson (JT) refrigeration technology has established itself as the primary cooling scheme for space liquid helium temperature applications owing to its low vibration, high efficiency and high reliability. With the continuous advancement of space science payloads, the cooling capacity requirement in the liquid helium temperature region has escalated from tens of milliwatts in early missions to the hundred-milliwatt level. To satisfy future space requirements for high-efficiency cooling in the hundred-milliwatt regime, this paper presents the experimental performance testing and op…

Initial Orbit Determination of Low-Earth-Orbiting Objects Using Multi-Site Space-Based Optical Observations ↗
Space Situational Awareness (SSA) is a growing field of study which provides knowledge of Resident Space Objects (RSOs) to help maintain a safe and sustainable space environment around Earth. A primary component of SSA is obtaining Initial Orbit Determinations (IODs) of these objects via optical observations. The present way of obtaining optical observations is by using a single observation site. However, using only one observation site does not yield accurate range or IOD results. This research tests space-based single-site and multi-site observations of RSOs in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to provi…

High-throughput exploration of refractory high-entropy alloys for strength and plasticity ↗
Refractory high-entropy alloys (RHEAs) are compositionally complex materials which have been demonstrated to have the potential for exceptional strength at high operating temperatures. However, their composition space is vast, and other property requirements, such as acceptable plasticity at room-temperature, must be met. Here, we leverage recently published, state-of-the-art deep learning models to predict compressive yield strength at 1,000 °C and room-temperature plasticity of >100,000 RHEAs. Multiple candidate materials were identified which exhibited exceptional balance between strength a…

TESS Pulsation Timing Reveals the JWST Calibration Star HD 158485 as a Double-pulsator Binary ↗
HD~158485 is an A-type $δ$~Scuti star in the CALSPEC network and the JWST absolute-flux calibration program. Gaia DR3 assigns it a binary classification probability close to unity but provides no orbital solution. Using TESS observations from Sectors 14--26, 40--41, 47--60, and 73--86, we measure the pulsation phases of six $δ$~Scuti modes. The frequencies form two groups with opposite light-travel-time delays, revealing two pulsating components. A direct light-curve forward model yields an orbital period of $P_{\rm orb}=382.80^{+0.80}_{-0.76}$~d, eccentricity $e=0.242^{+0.045}_{-0.046}$, proj…

How to assess evidence about Space
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
