Earlier sources: Space
Space research and engineering study the universe and build the systems used to reach and observe it. Follow astronomy, spacecraft, launch systems, satellites, exploration, and Earth observation.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗517 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

On the Lack of Periodicity of Walker Satellite Constellation Routing Tables ↗
In a referential that rotates with Earth, the dynamics of the configurations of satellites in a Delta Walker constellation can be analyzed as a dynamical system as a function of a translation on the torus. This paper extends this type of analysis to routing over a Walker constellation, leveraging fixed ground relays. It considers any deterministic, time-invariant routing rule on such a collection of satellites and relays. The main object of interest is the routing table associated with this rule, which specifies, for all source-destination pairs, a route made of satellites and relays between t…

Orbital transport in W revealed by THz spectroscopy ↗
Abstract Orbitronics devices has attracted significant attention due to the potential for magnetization manipulation. Recent studies have demonstrated orbital polarization optically excited by femtosecond lasers in cobalt-platinum alloy ferromagnetic layers, which subsequently radiate terahertz waves through orbital-charge conversion. In this work, we show the interplay of multiple terahertz emission mechanisms from cobalt-platinum alloy/tungsten/magnesium oxide. We performed an analysis of transfer matrix method on the thickness dependence of tungsten and cobalt-platinum alloy, and find that…

Redundant-Motion Coordination and Base Disturbance Suppression of a 6R1P Free-Floating Space Manipulator Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning ↗
Free-floating space manipulators are strongly coupled systems in which manipulator motion affects spacecraft base motion through momentum exchange, making simultaneous end-effector control and disturbance suppression challenging. This work investigates how an additional actuated prismatic degree of freedom influences whole-arm coordination in a 6R1P free-floating space manipulator. Compared with a fixed-length 6R configuration, the prismatic joint enlarges the feasible motion space and introduces an additional motion-allocation direction for full-pose tasks under generalized-Jacobian constrain…

Mechanism of spontaneous ignition of high-pressure hydrogen release in arc-shaped confined space ↗
High-pressure hydrogen storage is one of the mainstream ways of hydrogen storage currently. However, its propensity for spontaneous ignition can pose challenges to the safe application of hydrogen energy. It has been recognized that the spontaneous ignition usually takes place when it is released through tubes. However, this study demonstrates that the spontaneous ignition can still take place when it is released directly into the atmosphere and impinges on an arc-shaped wall afterwards. This paper presents a numerical investigation by using LES, RNG, EDC models and detailed hydrogen/air combu…

Space–Air–Ground Integrated Networks for Smart Agriculture and Smart Breeding: A Review of SDN/NFV-Enabled Intelligent Resource Management ↗
Smart agriculture and smart breeding are evolving from isolated sensing toward geographically distributed, long-term, data-driven closed-loop management. Dispersed farms and breeding sites, UAV and remote-sensing phenotyping, real-time field control, edge inference, and digital-twin synchronization impose heterogeneous demands on coverage, latency, bandwidth, reliability, computing, and energy. Space–air–ground integrated networks (SAGINs) combine satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles/high-altitude platforms, and terrestrial networks for wide-area coverage and elastic access, but introduce dyna…

Different Orbital Controls on Detrital Magnetic Components in the Ninety‐East Ridge Since the Late Pleistocene ↗
Abstract Magnetic minerals preserved in marginal‐sea sediments can serve as distinct fingerprints for unraveling paleoenvironmental evolution. However, the forcing mechanisms that govern the transport and accumulation of individual magnetic minerals at orbital timescales remain poorly constrained. Hence, we present a systematic environmental magnetic analysis performed to isolate the relative abundances of detrital magnetite and hematite in core CJ04‐59 from the Ninety‐east Ridge. The detrital magnetite varies mainly with precession cycles, while the detrital hematite responds more clearly to…

Identification of Critical Links in Low Earth Orbit Satellite Networks Based on Temporal Connectivity ↗
Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks exhibit highly dynamic topologies, making it challenging to accurately identify critical inter-satellite links using conventional static graph methods. Existing approaches predominantly rely on delay or betweenness centrality as evaluation criteria and fail to account for temporal connectivity as a fundamental prerequisite for communication. This paper proposes the Evaluation of Temporal-Aware Path Connectivity (eTAPC), a method based on temporal connectivity for identifying critical links in LEO satellite networks. An event-driven slot partitioning str…

Growth of aromatic hydrocarbon dust particles in the extremely metal-poor galaxy Sextans A ↗
The mid-infrared spectrum of star-forming, high-metallicity galaxies is dominated by emission features from aromatic and aliphatic bonds in small carbonaceous dust grains, often referred to as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). In metal-poor galaxies, the abundance of PAHs relative to the total dust sharply declines, but the origin of this deficit is unknown. Here we present observations by the James Webb Space Telescope that detect and resolve emission from PAHs in the 7% solar metallicity galaxy Sextans A, representing, to our knowledge, the lowest metallicity detections of PAH emissio…

Detection of relativistic orbital deformation from improved timing of PSR J1757−1854 ↗
Abstract PSR J1757−1854, a 21.5 ms pulsar is a member of a highly relativistic double neutron star (DNS) system with a tight (4.4 hr), eccentric (e = 0.61) orbit. With extremely large gravitational wave luminosity and one of the fastest orbital decay rates of any known DNS system, it is ideal for testing general relativity (GR) in the strong-field regime. Here we present results from a high-precision timing campaign combining archival data from the Murriyang telescope and Green Bank Telescope (GBT) with new observations from the MeerKAT radio telescope and additional observations from the GBT.…

How to assess evidence about Space
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
