Earlier sources: Science
Science investigates the natural world through observation, experiments, and mathematical models. Explore papers and developments in biology, medicine, materials, neuroscience, physics, climate, and mathematics; a reported finding is not necessarily established consensus.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗1335 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Cavity Characterization for the Princeton Axion Search ↗
The Princeton Axion Search (PXS) targets the mass window $0.8\text{--}2.1~μ\text{eV}$ (corresponding to frequencies $200\text{--}500~\text{MHz}$) at DFSZ sensitivity. The experiment, a haloscope, will use a cylindrical copper-plated aluminum cavity of $700~\text{mm}$ diameter and $1022~\text{mm}$ height, immersed in a $5~\text{T}$ solenoidal magnetic field. A $152~\text{mm}$ diameter tuning rod spanning the height of the cavity rotates to tune the primary mode resonance from $390\text{--}480~\text{MHz}$, the frequency range for initial operations. We deduce the electric and magnetic field mode…

Accessing electronic entanglement via photo-assisted two-electron tomography ↗
Witnessing entanglement between electrons propagating in quantum circuits requires accessing their two-electron coherences, which encode the two-particle quantum correlations generated by Coulomb interactions. Yet, experimental reconstruction of two-electron coherence remains a major challenge. We introduce photo-assisted two-electron tomography, a quantum coherence reconstruction protocol from dc-currents and time-averaged current correlations, routinely measured in electron quantum optics experiments. Driving an energy filter with a small rf tone encodes off-diagonal coherences in the freque…

Theory of the CH$_\text{S}^-$ Defect in MoS$_2$ Confirming the Origin of the Quantum Emission ↗
Establishing the microscopic origin of localized emission in two-dimensional materials through consistent agreement between experiment and theory remains challenging. Recent STM/STS-STML measurements assigned an emission near 1.8 eV in monolayer MoS$_2$/hBN(2L)/graphene to the negatively charged CH$_\mathrm{S}^{-}$ defect. However, a comprehensive theoretical description of this emitter is still lacking. Here, we develop such a description and systematically investigate the photophysical properties of CH$_\mathrm{S}^{-}$ in monolayer MoS$_2$, two bilayer configurations, and a MoS$_2$/hBN heter…

Unlocking the Regulatory Genome by ARGUS: An Evidence-Constrained Agentic Framework for Interpreting Single Nucleotide Variants ↗
Over 90% of disease-associated variants from genome-wide association studies fall in noncoding regulatory regions, yet their functional interpretation remains a central open problem in genomic medicine. Large language models prompted to interpret such variants routinely hallucinate transcription factor (TF) binding changes, fabricate experimental support, and assign biological significance to statistically negligible signals. We present ARGUS (Agentic Regulatory Genomics for an Uncertainty-aware Scientist), which strictly separates deterministic biological computation from LLM-mediated reasoni…

Multipartite entanglement spreads ↗
The entanglement structure of a bipartite pure state is characterized by its entanglement spectrum, or equivalently, by the family of Rényi-$k$ entanglement entropies with integer $k$. Taking the difference of two such entropies defines a quantity known as an entanglement spread, that is monotonous under local operations, and that vanishes if and only if the entanglement spectrum of the state is flat. We introduce a multipartite generalization of this notion which, for a fixed number $D\geq 3$ of parties, results in a collection of maps indexed by pairs of $D$-edge-colored graphs (obeying some…

Experimental generation of asymmetric keys from the parity structure of a two-photon six-qubit entangled state ↗
We propose and experimentally demonstrate an asymmetric key-generation scheme in which public and private keys are derived from a six-qubit photonic entangled state. A six-qubit entangled state is generated from two photons, each carrying one polarization and two path qubits. The state is prepared in an equal superposition of eight of the sixty-four six-qubit basis states, in which each photon's three qubits form a codeword of the classical [3,2,2] even-parity code, and are distributed between the two parties, Alice and Bob. This ensures, each triple is a uniformly random codeword and the two…

La-Ribo: RNA Co-Design via Geometry-Latent Flow Matching ↗
RNA function arises from the coupling of nucleotide sequence and three-dimensional structure, motivating their joint design. Coordinating global folding with nucleotide-level detail remains challenging under limited structural supervision. We introduce La-Ribo, a generative framework for RNA sequence-structure co-design via geometry-latent flow matching. La-Ribo retains a sparse phosphate-sugar--base scaffold and encodes nucleotide identity and local conformation in residue-wise latents. A shared flow network generates both jointly, and an RNA-specific decoder then reconstructs all heavy atoms…

A quasiparticle-protected superconducting qubit ↗
Superconducting quantum circuits underpin large-scale quantum processors and are increasingly interfaced with optical systems, yet they are vulnerable to quasiparticle poisoning from high-energy radiation and optical fields. Gap engineering of Josephson junctions suppresses quasiparticle-induced relaxation, but quasiparticles near the junction can still shift the qubit frequency and cause phase errors. Here, we extend gap engineering beyond the junction using a flux-tunable transmon with a gold-on-niobium ground plane and island and strongly gap-engineered aluminum junctions designed to keep q…

Secure Quantum Handshakes: Quantum Network Verification Via Simon's Algorithm ↗
Quantum networking represents the future of secure communication, enabling fundamentally new capabilities through quantum information exchange. However, these networks require secure, high-fidelity quantum communication channels, and they require every participating node to be a genuine quantum device. Currently, there is no reliable method to verify whether clients entering a quantum network truly possess quantum computational capability and are connecting over robust channels. In this work, we introduce a client-validation protocol that functions as a proof-of-quantum-capability handshake. O…

Autonomous Code Migration for Quantum Programming Languages: A Case Study with QED-C Benchmarks ↗
Quantum programming requires concepts and intuition that differ substantially from those used in traditional programming languages. Multiple quantum programming frameworks address these requirements through different abstractions and execution models, creating tradeoffs in programmability, portability, and performance. Because quantum software is less prevalent in the training data available to large language models, autonomous coding agents might be expected to face additional challenges when working with these frameworks. We present a case study in autonomous migration of the QED-C Applicati…

How to assess evidence about Science
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
