Earlier sources: Physics
This science thread follows physics through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗313 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Multiscale Modeling Methods for District Heating Systems: From Physics-Based Approaches to Data-Driven Integration ↗
District heating systems are transitioning from conventional high-temperature systems to 4GDH/5GDHC systems, giving system modeling more pronounced multiscale characteristics in physical hierarchy, temporal dynamics, and model abstraction. To support planning, optimization, control, and fault diagnosis, this paper systematically reviews district heating system modeling methods based on 185 representative publications and relevant sources. The review is organized around four modeling objects: heat sources, distribution networks, end users, and core components. It summarizes steady-state, quasi-…

Fibonacci–Lucas Recurrence-Indexed Quaternionic Unitaries: Channel Convergence, Clifford Proximity, and Controlled Entanglement ↗
We investigate the normalized operator geometry of the mixed Fibonacci–Lucas quaternion Qn = Fn + Lni + Fn+1j + Ln+1k. Standard quaternion representations associate this sequence with single-qubit unitary channels. We first establish a convergence theorem for quaternion sequences with two distinct real characteristic roots and a strictly dominant positive root. It gives an exact average gate infidelity to the limit and sharp projective-step asymptotics, including the degenerate constant-channel case. For the Fibonacci–Lucas assignment, orthogonal Binet coefficient vectors yield exact finite-in…

Physics-guided interpretable machine learning for explicit resistance equation discovery in concrete penetration ↗
Classical Forrestal penetration calculations are attractive because they are explicit, but their empirical strength-only resistance term is too restrictive for heterogeneous concrete-penetration data. This study derives a closed-form resistance equation from a governed literature dataset, reducing 497 raw records from 41 source blocks to 443 useable records from 37 sources through duplicate removal, governed density completion, deep-penetration filtering, and descriptor-only anomaly screening. Forrestal inversion maps each measured penetration depth to an operator-consistent effective resistan…

Amplitude-constrained and phase-supervised physics-guided color holography for realistic three-dimensional scenes ↗
The degraded reconstruction quality in multi-plane holography is mainly manifested by inter-plane crosstalk, defocus, and speckle. To address these coupled artifacts, this paper proposes MpD-Holo, a multi-plane holographic display method driven by depth estimation and physics-based supervision. A monocular depth network first predicts relative depth, which is discretized by K-means depth clustering (KDC) into display planes. A two-stage complex-amplitude and phase-estimation network then generates phase-only holograms under angular-spectrum propagation constraints. Phase pseudo-labels generate…

Strong-Field Physics in Intense Few-Cycle Laser Fields: From Carrier-Envelope-Phase Effects to Waveform Engineering ↗
The generation of intense few-cycle laser pulses with a stabilized carrier-envelope phase (CEP) has enabled unprecedented control of strong-field laser–matter interactions on an attosecond time scale. Few-cycle laser fields allow direct manipulation of the instantaneous electric-field waveform, making the CEP and other waveform parameters fundamental tools for steering electron dynamics. In this review, we present a comprehensive overview of the role of waveform control in strong-field processes driven by intense few-cycle laser pulses. We discuss the generation and characterization of few-cyc…

ViSSR: Physics-Informed Hybrid Vision-LSTM/State-Space Super-Resolution for Digital Rock Microstructure Analysis ↗
Digital Rock Physics (DRP) requires high-fidelity pore-scale imaging, yet micro-computed tomography (μ-CT) trades spatial resolution against field of view, and standard super-resolution (SR) often fails to preserve transport-controlling pore topology. We propose Vision-LSTM and State-Space Super-Resolution (ViSSR), a physics-informed hybrid residual SR network that couples Vision-LSTM (ViL) for local anisotropic texture with a Mamba-based 2D selective state-space module (SS2D) for linear-complexity global context, and restores high-frequency structure via scale-conditioned residuals under an e…

Decoupled Multiplicative Physics-Guided Neural Network for Extrapolative Modeling of GaN HEMT ↗
Rapid direct-current (DC) surrogate modeling of gallium nitride (GaN) high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) requires accurate prediction of the current-capability, conduction-loss, and self-heating indicators used in geometry screening. This work presents an electrothermal decoupled multiplicative physics-guided neural network (ET-DM-PGNN) for this task. It combines a gray-box backbone, separate high- and low-field polarization channels, a latent DC self-heating update, and bounded target-specific multiplicative residuals. A two-stage strategy first calibrates the complete surrogate and t…

Physics-Informed Machine Learning Framework for Predicting Joule Heating Activated Shape Recovery in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Shape Memory Epoxy Composites ↗
Shape memory epoxy composites recover a programmed shape when Joule heating drives the matrix through its glass transition, and a key challenge for these smart materials is predicting the recovery angle at drive currents outside the tested range. In this work, three models were compared for this task: a Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts (KWW) theory based Physics-KWW constitutive model, a gradient-boosted tree model (XGBoost) using thermomechanical state features, and a support vector regression (SVR) model using raw experimental variables together with thermomechanical features. All models were asses…

Safety evaluation of new energy three-electric systems using enhanced physics-informed neural networks ↗
Accurate safety-state measurement of the three-electric system in new energy vehicles is essential for ensuring reliable and secure operation. This paper proposes an artificial-intelligence-assisted safety measurement framework that integrates a searchable encryption mechanism with Enhanced Physics-Informed Neural Networks (EPINNs). In the proposed framework, the searchable encryption module supports privacy-preserving storage and retrieval of multi-source measurement data, while EPINNs serve as the core Artificial Intelligence (AI) model for multi-parameter state estimation and fault identifi…

Non‐Markovian Entanglement via Parametrically Mediated Molecular Cavity Optomechanics ↗
ABSTRACT Quantum entanglement in molecular cavity optomechanical (COM) systems serves as a fundamental resource to explore quantum‐enhanced sensing, coherent molecular dynamics, and quantum information processing, which has been studied under Markovian approximation but not yet explored in non‐Markovian reservoirs. In this paper, we propose a scheme to manipulate quantum entanglement in molecular COM system coupled with a degenerate optical parametric amplifier (DOPA) under Markovian approximation. We reveal that both strength and phase of DOPA can be tuned to enhance optical‐vibration entangl…

How to assess evidence about Physics
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
