Earlier sources: Physics
This science thread follows physics through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗304 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Hybrid Classical-Quantum Solutions to Accelerate the Adoption of Quantum Computing ↗
Despite the promise and potential of quantum computing, most of the current day developments of quantum computing have several limitations for relevant practical use. As a result, hybrid classical-quantum computing has emerged as a viable solution. This paper discusses the software aspects of hybrid classical-quantum computing solutions to understand and examine how hybrid computing solutions can be expected to work in practice. This paper examines existing software solutions (cloud applications, middleware frameworks, and API gateways) that can enable classical and quantum computing to work t…

When Equivalent Quantum Circuits Lose Synthesis Choices ↗
Quantum compilers synthesize high-level operations, such as the quantum Fourier transform and multi-controlled X gates, into gate-level circuits. Across compilation stages, a circuit may be serialized, exchanged as OpenQASM, converted between compilers, or lowered to gates. These representation changes can preserve computation while removing the high-level operation itself, leaving the receiving compiler unable to apply a requested synthesis method. We call this loss synthesis availability. We study synthesis availability in Qiskit, TKET, and Cirq through controlled experiments, repository ana…

Stellarators Linking Axisymmetric Mirrors Part 1: Coil Design, MHD Equilibrium, and Physics Metrics ↗
We present a computational design study of a stellarator-mirror hybrid concept, Stellarators Linking Axisymmetric Mirrors (SLAMs), in which an optimized poloidally omnigenous (OP or QI) stellarator serves as the rotational-transform-generating element that links long, axisymmetric (circular cross-section) magnetic mirrors. Starting from an OP precursor configuration obtained from the DESC omnigenity database, we construct hybrid coil sets for field period nFP = 2 SLAMs by separating the OP modular coils along the device midplane and inserting axisymmetric planar mirror coils into the resulting…

Adaptive-Shot Hybrid Quantum Anomaly Detection for Tactile Internet Security: Reliability-Aware Measurement Allocation Under Resource Constraints ↗
Tactile Internet (TI) security analytics must balance reliable thresholded decisions with constrained computational and measurement resources. We study this tension for finite-shot hybrid quantum anomaly inference and introduce the Adaptive-Shot Variational Quantum Circuit (AS-VQC) policy. This validation-calibrated policy begins each record at 128 shots and cumulatively escalates through 256, 512, and 1024 shots only when the finite-shot anomaly score remains close to a validation-selected security threshold. The quantum scorer is evaluated as an off-path security analytics component rather t…

Inducing Enantioselectivity in Radiative Charge-Transfer Rates through Chiral Quantum Electrodynamic Fluctuations ↗
Abstract Chiral discrimination has long been an important yet challenging topic in chemistry and physics. In this work, we study how chiral light–matter interaction under weak coupling regime enhances enantioselectivity of chiral charge transfer (CT) rates. Based on the framework of macroscopic quantum electrodynamics and Marcus electron transfer theory, we predict that the degree of discrimination (S) of a single-molecule asymmetric radiative CT reaction can achieve −2.0 × 10–2 through the light–matter interactions between a silicon nanohelix and a helicene-based CT dye. Orientation dependenc…

A physics-informed method for joint forecasting of heat load and battery surface temperature in heating stations integrating photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage, and heat pumps ↗
Accurate joint forecasting of heat load and battery surface temperature is critical for reliable operation of heating stations that integrate photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage, and heat pumps in mountainous townships. These two targets are dynamically coupled because heat demand affects heat pump operation, while heat pump power consumption influences battery charging/discharging behavior and heat generation. However, existing methods either predict them independently or rely on data-driven multi-task learning, which ignores cross-system coupling and thermodynamic consistency. To…

Physics-informed neural networks for thermal spreading of multilayer multichip power modules ↗
Efficient thermal management in multilayer, multi-source power modules remains a critical barrier to advancing high-performance electronic systems. Analytical models are limited to highly simplified geometries, while finite volume method (FVM) requires extensive meshing and prohibitive computational cost for iterative design exploration. Here, we present a physics-informed neural network (PINN) integrated with a Gaussian process (GP) surrogate to enable mesh-free, physically consistent thermal prediction and rapid design optimization. The PINN achieves prediction errors below 2.4% for single-s…

Estimation of Critical Distances for Electronic Detonators Using a Physics-Based Model ↗
Prior estimation of the distance at which detonation pressure reaches a critical threshold is relevant for defining borehole separations and reducing the risk of damage to electronic detonators in underground mining. Empirical attenuation relationships require site-specific calibration through instrumentation, limiting their application at preliminary design stages. A physics-based formulation is proposed that integrates detonation pressure, explosive–rock impedance matching, and equivalent rock mass stiffness to estimate transmitted pressure and critical distance. Attenuation is represented b…

CAMMA : A Physics‐Informed Adaptive Mamba Framework for Remaining Useful Life Prediction in Intelligent Predictive Maintenance ↗
ABSTRACT Rolling bearings are one of the most failure‐prone components in rotating machinery, and intelligent predictive maintenance relies on accurate estimation of their remaining useful life (RUL) from vibration measurements. However, the measured vibration is masked by strong noise and is nonmonotonic. Once a defect occurs, its distribution will change sharply, and the monitoring record of a full life cycle is long, so it is difficult to obtain a stable degradation trend and a reliable maintenance cycle. We present CAMMA, a physically adaptive Mamba framework with multihead attention that…

How to assess evidence about Physics
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
