THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Hardware
Hardware is the physical foundation of computing: chips, sensors, devices, networks, and the processes that manufacture them. Follow semiconductor research, compute architectures, and engineering developments alongside their software and energy connections.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗519 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

A low-temperature entropy source for on-chip true random number generation: universal robustness beyond device quality ↗
True random number generation is a critical capability for fault-tolerant quantum computing at millikelvin temperatures. Yet existing Josephson-junction-based TRNGs all rest on a widely accepted but untested assumption: that reliable entropy extraction requires precisely controlled device parameters. Here we show that this assumption does not always hold. We demonstrate a counterintuitive finding: a single current-biased Josephson junction, regardless of its parameter quality, can serve as a cryptographic-grade true random number generator. To establish the universality of this conclusion, we…

MagiCFirm: A Runtime for Magic-State Cultivation with Algorithm-Hardware Co-Design ↗
Magic-state cultivation offers a promising alternative for lowering the cost of non-Clifford operations in fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC). However, realizing cultivation in practice exposes two challenges: (i) the lack of an open-source classical runtime layer between logical software and physical control, and (ii) the latency constraints on protocol-specific decisions that determine magic-state readiness. To address these challenges, we adopt an algorithm--hardware co-design approach. At the algorithm level, we develop a two-stage early-escape scheme that identifies an informative su…

How to assess evidence about Hardware
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
