Earlier sources: Ethereum

This crypto thread follows ethereum through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

8 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Exploiting Ethereum Rollback Semantics: Profit-Driven Attack Synthesis and Off-Chain Misinterpretation Testing ↗

The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) enforces atomic execution through rollback, reverting all state changes when execution fails. While necessary for correctness, rollback semantics introduce a distinct attack surface affecting both on-chain execution and off-chain infrastructures. On-chain, attackers can use conditional failure to filter executions, committing only profitable outcomes while rolling back unprofitable attempts. Off-chain, systems such as explorers, token trackers, and RPC providers may misinterpret aborted executions as successful, leading to inconsistent records or unintended t…

DG-VDT: Dynamic Graph-Guided Reinforcement Learning for Low-Latency Vulnerability Detection and Attack Traceability in Ethereum Smart Contracts ↗

Ethereum hosts more than 50 million deployed contracts, and cumulative losses from contract exploits exceed three billion US dollars, making automated detection and attacker attribution a practical priority. Existing tool-augmented language models and reward-driven reinforcement learning reason over transaction text or a single graph view; they infer maliciousness from superficial topology and degrade when applied to attacks whose traces lack it. This article presents DG-VDT, a reinforcement-learning framework in which tool-centric rewards are replaced by graph-structured feedback derived dire…

Making Duplicate Reimbursement Unrepresentable: A Verified Ethereum E-Invoice System for Humans and AI Agents ↗

Electronic invoices are replacing paper invoices worldwide, but today's centralized architectures leave three problems unsolved on the consumption side: an invoice can be submitted for reimbursement repeatedly, authenticity is difficult for recipients to verify, and data is siloed at a central authority that forms both a performance bottleneck and a single point of failure. This paper presents the design, formal analysis, and implementation of a complete blockchain-based electronic invoice system on Ethereum. We formalize the invoice lifecycle as a guarded labeled transition system and prove,…

A Lightweight Ethereum Voting Prototype for Hospital Ethics Committees with Receipt-Based Inclusion Verification ↗

This paper presents a Solidity, Hardhat, React, MetaMask, and ethers.js prototype for hospital ethics committee voting. Role controls, case-state checks, duplicate vote controls, and a receipt hash support public audit and transaction inclusion verification. Because vote events expose wallet addresses and vote values, the design provides pseudonymous auditability, not anonymous or secret-ballot voting; the receipt is neither receipt-free nor coercion-resistant. Evaluation reports 22 passing functional tests and local Hardhat gas use, including 284,137 gas per vote. A 12-participant simulation…

How to assess evidence about Ethereum

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
