THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Databases

Databases organize information for storage and retrieval. Follow relational and nonrelational systems, query engines, indexing, replication, and operational tools; performance claims depend on workload and configuration.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

97 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: Minigraf – An embedded, bi-temporal graph database in Rust ↗

A successor project to my previous attempt at building a temporal graph database ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23455516 ). This one builds on its predecessor's concept, but drops the dependency on another database to provide the storage, transaction and query engines. Minigraf is self-contained, packaged as a library crate, embeds into your application, and supports full bi-temporality.

GRETA: a results database for whole-genome sequencing studies ↗

Whole-genome sequencing in large cohorts generates vast numbers of genetic association results, but integrating and querying them alongside public reference data remains a challenge for the diverse stakeholders involved. To address this challenge, we developed the Genetic REsults daTAbase (GRETA), a relational database that stores in-house association results alongside public reference data and functional annotation resources, facilitating their integration, querying and analysis. Following a requirements-engineering process grounded in user-centred design, we defined product specifications sp…

How to assess evidence about Databases

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
