Earlier sources: Security
Digital security protects systems, software, accounts, and information from misuse. Explore cybersecurity, vulnerabilities, threat intelligence, cryptography, privacy, and identity, with links to the underlying advisories and research.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗639 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

A Security Meta-Model for Retrieval-Augmented Generation Systems ↗
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems extend large language models (LLMs) with external knowledge through a multi-stage pipeline. While this architecture can improve the factual grounding of generated answers, it introduces structural attack surfaces that extend beyond those of standalone LLMs. In this paper, we introduce a security meta-model that captures explicit causal relationships between RAG surfaces, attacks, weaknesses, risks, and CIA impact (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability). Its purpose is to provide security engineers with a structured and user-friendly framework for…

Show HN: Privatrak – no-code, privacy-first product analytics ↗
Hi HN! Quick story how it started: I was a freelance web developer in the past and also worked for several companies on web applications. For some projects we didn’t have analytics at all and we had to ask ourselves too many times what our users actually use in the product. Finding a good solution was painful, since we couldn’t use a consent banner (a lot of customers from the government) and existing tools were hard to set up so nobody took the…

How to assess evidence about Security
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
