THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Markets

Markets connect capital, goods, services, and labor. This region follows economic developments, public markets, venture capital, fintech, and commerce. Source attention does not constitute financial advice or forecast investment returns.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

252 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Pricing American Commodity Options Under the Schwartz Two-Factor Model Using the Alternating Direction Explicit (ADE) Method ↗

This project investigates the valuation of American commodity options using the Schwartz two-factor model. We employ the double-sweep Alternating Direction Explicit (ADE) method, an unconditionally stable (for diffusion) finite difference scheme that provides the efficiency of explicit marching with the stability typically reserved for implicit methods, and compare it with the single-sweep alternating variant of Saul'yev. We derive the governing partial differential equation (PDE) and transform the semi-infinite domain into a rectangular computational domain. Furthermore, we apply Fichera theo…

StochLOB: Heavy-Tailed Score Matching for Robust Limit Order Book Trend Prediction ↗

Score-based diffusion methods usually perturb data with Brownian Gaussian noise, corresponding to a light-tailed forward stochastic differential equation (SDE). For market time series this SDE can be a poor abstraction: limit order book (LOB) order flow is heavy-tailed, bursty, and occasionally jump-like. We study STOCHLOB, a training-only score-matching framework that changes the forward diffusion corruption law while leaving the deployed predictor deterministic. Instead of Brownian-only Gaussian corruption, the noising process uses two non-Gaussian SDE-inspired alternatives: jump-Lévy noise…

Multi-Objective Circular Economy Optimisation for Seismic Retrofit of Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls ↗

Growing global demand for resilient and sustainable infrastructure requires seismic retrofit strategies that simultaneously enhance structural performance and minimise environmental impact. This study presents a multi-objective optimisation framework that integrates circular economy (CE) indicators with seismic performance evaluation for the retrofit design of reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls. Nonlinear finite element simulations were carried out in SeismoStruct to evaluate a 125 mm thick component-level RC shear wall strengthened using three techniques: carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer (CF…

AI-Driven Fit Confidence in Fashion E-Commerce: How Personalization, Transparency, and Privacy Concerns Shape Consumer Experience and Purchase Intention ↗

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming fashion e-commerce through personalized recommendations, virtual try-on, size suggestions, and algorithmic decision support. This study examines AI-driven fit confidence as a fashion-specific mechanism linking AI personalization quality, algorithmic transparency, trust in AI, consumer experience, and purchase intention, while considering privacy concern as a boundary condition. Data from 400 Ecuadorian consumers with prior exposure to AI-enabled recommendation or personalization features in fashion e-commerce were analyzed using partial least square…

Regime Detection in Latent Factor Models -- A Bayesian Decision-Theoretic Approach ↗

Regime-switching multi-factor models are widely used in quantitative finance, but filtering does not by itself determine when an agent should act on inferred regime changes. We formulate online regime detection with latent factors and hidden regimes as a Bayesian decision problem balancing false alarms, detection delay, and misclassification. Since posterior regime probabilities are generally non-Markovian, the problem is represented as a measure-valued optimal stopping problem and approximated using particle filtering with Monte Carlo dynamic programming. A single-change-point Heston model pr…

How to assess evidence about Markets

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
