Earlier sources: Hardware

Hardware is the physical foundation of computing: chips, sensors, devices, networks, and the processes that manufacture them. Follow semiconductor research, compute architectures, and engineering developments alongside their software and energy connections.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

527 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

A low-cost, flexible sensor patch for non-invasive respiratory monitoring capable of suppressing motion artifacts ↗

Abstract Respiration is a fundamental vital function that ensures the vital exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body, but non-invasive and continuous respiratory monitoring remains challenging. Conventional monitoring methods often rely on specialized clinical equipment, whereas wearable systems are susceptible to motion artifacts. This study presents a wearable sensor matrix patch for respiratory monitoring with capabilities for suppressing artefacts that originate from body motions. The flexible sensor patch was realized in a hybrid manufacturing process that combines double-sided p…

Photocatalytic disinfection of household well water using semiconductor nanocomposites ↗

Abstract Composite materials are less explored outside of sewage water treatment. This study aimed to synthesize ZnO/TiO₂-based photocatalyst composites, including activated fly ash (aCFA) through co-precipitation–solvothermal methods and to investigate the effectiveness of the composites in removing bacteria from well water at the point of use. The standard microbiological pour-plate technique was used to preliminarily assess household water samples ( n = 256) for total bacterial count (TBC), coliform count (TCC), and Escherichia coli count (TEC). Of the 256 drinking water samples initially a…

Research on fiber fabry-pérot salt concentration sensor for cooling pipelines of thermal power plants ↗

This paper reports a fiber Fabry-Pérot (FP) salt concentration sensor fabricated via femtosecond laser micromachining, targeting real-time salinity monitoring of cooling pipelines in thermal power plants to support automatic water replenishment control. Experimental results reveal that the FP cavity achieves optimal reflectivity at a cavity depth of 66.95 μm and a cavity width of 10.98 μm. As the refractive index of medium filling the FP cavity rises, the resonant spectral peak undergoes a continuous red shift. After systematic optimization of femtosecond laser machining parameters, the optima…

    600 °C selective epitaxial growth of SiGe:B for FD-SOI devices ↗

The 600 °C Selective Epitaxial Growth (SEG) of SiGe:B layers was investigated, the aim being to fabricate Raised Sources and Drains (RSDs) on each side of p-type Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors. We indeed strove to decrease by 50 °C the growth temperature compared to our 650 °C reference process in order to benefit from higher active boron concentrations, e.g. lower electrical resistivities. A co-flow approach with a chlorinated chemistry was used. Two processes were investigated: Process 1 at 20 Torr and Process 2 at 10 Torr. They were tailored in terms of mass-flows in ord…

Enhancing the advection module performance in the EPICC-Model V1.6.0 via GPU-HADVPPM4HIP V1.0 coupling and GPU-optimized strategies ↗

Abstract. The rapid development of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) has established new computational paradigms for enhancing air quality modeling efficiency. In this study, the heterogeneous-compute interface for portability (HIP) was implemented to parallel computing of the piecewise parabolic method (PPM) advection solver (HADVPPM) on China’s domestic GPU-like accelerators (GPU-HADVPPM4HIP V1.0). Computational performance was enhanced through three strategic optimizations: reducing the central processing unit (CPU) and GPU (CPU-GPU) data transfer frequency, thread-block coordinated indexing…

How to assess evidence about Hardware

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
