THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Hardware
Hardware is the physical foundation of computing: chips, sensors, devices, networks, and the processes that manufacture them. Follow semiconductor research, compute architectures, and engineering developments alongside their software and energy connections.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗528 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Hydrogel-Gated Organic Electrochemical Transistors for Wearable and Portable Direct Detection of Aerosol-Borne Viral Antigens ↗
Direct detection of viral antigens in respiratory aerosols is challenging because affinity-based organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) typically rely on liquid samples. Here, a non-flowing agarose hydrogel replaced the liquid electrolyte to capture aerosols, conduct ions, and support target transport. Before OECT readout, a separate 1-min ring-electrode field-assistance step was applied to facilitate target delivery to the aptamer-functionalized gate. Under the optimized conditions, the device achieved a solution-phase concentration-based limit of detection (LoD) of 1.27 fM and a sample-…

TrajGNN-RL: Adaptive Mobile Sink Intelligence for Lifetime-Aware Wireless Sensor Networks ↗
Mobile wireless sensor networks require adaptive routing and sink mobility strategies to reduce energy imbalance, congestion, and communication delay. In this study, we propose a new method called TrajGNN-RL that combines the topology learning method based on a graph neural network with the deep reinforcement learning method to plan the trajectory of the mobile sink and route the packet in a coordinated manner. Dynamic communication graphs model the residual energy, link quality, neighborhood connectivity, and traffic conditions, and reinforcement learning optimizes the sink movement and forwa…

Advancements in Tactile Biosensors: The Role of Additive Manufacturing and Machine Learning in Biomedical Applications ↗
Tactile biosensors areimportant for biomedical applications that require sensing mechanical stimuli like pressure, strain, and vibration. This review considers developments in tactile biosensor designs through additive manufacturing (AM) and machine learning (ML). The review defines four sensor mechanisms, piezoelectric, piezoresistive, strain gauge, and capacitive, and summarizes their working principles, materials, and biomedical relevance. Various additive manufacturing methods, such as direct ink writing, fused deposition modeling, stereolithography, and selective laser sintering, are disc…

Unified Model of Magnetoresistive Angular Position Sensors with Manufacturing Tolerances ↗
This paper presents a unified model of magnetoresistive angular position sensors, applicable to sensors based on the three major sensor technologies: Anisotropic Magnetoresistance, Giant Magnetoresistance, and Tunnel Magnetoresistance magnetoresistive elements. Theoretical models of the three different magnetoresistive elements, including manufacturing tolerances, have been derived first. The models are then employed to derive a realistic model of a magnetoresistive measurement bridge. In order to construct a model of a magnetoresistive magnetic field direction sensor, besides bridge models, a…

Dual-stream attention and feature fusion for human activity recognition via wearable sensors ↗
Abstract Multi-sensor-based human activity recognition (HAR) has attracted considerable attention in recent years. Despite significant advancements achieved through deep learning, extracting refined and subtle features from multiple sensors placed on different parts of the body remains a challenge. Accurate sensor modality attention and temporal information processing are crucial for enhancing model performance. In this paper, we propose a new Temporal and Sensor-Modality Attention with Feature Fusion Network (TSFF). TSFF consists of two modules: the Temporal and Sensor Modality Attention bloc…

Friction surfacing-based additive manufacturing of Ti–6Al–4V: process parameters, coating geometry, surface analysis, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior ↗
Abstract In the present work, the solid state deposition of Ti–6Al–4V on grade 2 titanium substrates by friction surfacing was investigated. After initial parameter optimization to select adequate horizontal and vertical forward speeds, tests were conducted with rotational speeds of 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000 rpm. The deposited material was subsequently characterized in terms of its overall geometry and surface texture, mechanical properties, microstructure and electrochemical corrosion resistance in Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS). Except for the coating obtained with 4000 rpm rotat…

How to assess evidence about Hardware
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
