THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Hardware
Hardware is the physical foundation of computing: chips, sensors, devices, networks, and the processes that manufacture them. Follow semiconductor research, compute architectures, and engineering developments alongside their software and energy connections.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗535 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Electrochemical Detection of Penicillin G Using a Nanomolecularly Imprinted Polymer Sensor Modified with Carbon Nanofibers and Gold Nanowires ↗
Abstract This study explores the electrochemical behavior of nanomolecularly imprinted polymers (NMIPs) integrated with carbon nanofibers (CNFs) and gold nanowires (AuNWs) modified on screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) using cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and differential pulse voltammetry for the determination of penicillin G. The incorporation of CNFs and AuNWs enhanced electron transfer and improved the electrocatalytic performance of the modified sensor. NMIPs act as artificial biomarkers that selectively bind to the target analyte, penicillin G. Bare and…

A survey of sensor suite designs for vehicle-based road surface condition sensing ↗
Maintaining high-quality road surface conditions is essential for improving traffic safety, reducing vehicle operating costs, and supporting effective infrastructure management. Conventional inspection approaches, including manual surveys and specialised inspection vehicles, are expensive, infrequent, and difficult to scale, while non-vehicle-based methods such as roadside cameras and embedded sensors suffer from limited spatial coverage. Recent advances in sensing, computing, and connected vehicle technologies have enabled the paradigm of vehicles as mobile sensing platforms, allowing continu…

SensorW: Open-Source Wear Operating System Platform for Continuous Global Positioning System and Multimodal Sensor Data Collection in Real-World Settings ↗
Digital phenotyping requires continuous, real-world collection of multimodal behavioral and physiological data. Although several smartphone-based sensing frameworks have been developed and used, open-source platforms for long-term smartwatch sensor data acquisition remain limited. To bridge this gap, SensorW was developed, an open-source Wear operating system (OS)-based framework for direct lifelog data collection from smartwatches without requiring a paired smartphone or manufacturer cloud service. SensorW includes a front-end Wear OS application for sensor data collection and a back-end serv…

Theoretical performance analysis of cake-shaped terahertz sensor with three-band resonant absorption for self-referenced refractive index sensing ↗
Our study proposes a cake-shaped terahertz self-referenced refractive index sensor, which combines Al and Al 2 O 3 and utilizes the metal-assisted guided-mode resonance (MAGMR) effect to synergistically enhance the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of a two-dimensional grating, enabling the sensor to achieve strong absorption rates at three wavelength bands of 3.302 THz, 5.798 THz and 7.312 THz. In this study, the electric field strength and impedance matching of the three resonance peaks were analyzed, and the structural tolerance of the sensor was evaluated. At the same time, it highlighted th…

Bidirectional immersive digital twin for real-time monitoring and supervisory interaction in PLC-controlled manufacturing ↗
Digital Twins are increasingly used for monitoring and interaction with automated processes, but integrating immersive environments with active control systems while preserving controller authority remains challenging. This study presents an operational and supervisory immersive Digital Twin for a PLC-controlled automated filling process, enabling bidirectional communication between a physical module and its virtual representation. The architecture integrates a Siemens S7-1200 PLC, OPC UA, MQTT, and a virtual reality environment. PLC-reported process states are mapped to corresponding virtual…

High-sensitivity deep shortwave infrared organic photodetectors enabled by selenium-integrated quinoidal molecular semiconductor ↗
Developing organic photodetectors (OPDs) that can detect in deep shortwave infrared (deep-SWIR) region (1.2–1.6 μm) is technologically important. Yet, the performance of the state-of-the-art deep-SWIR OPDs remains substantially limited. Herein, we report a selenium-integrated quinoidal small molecular acceptor, SeBz-4Cl, enabling highly sensitive deep-SWIR photodetection. Selenium incorporation enhances quinoidal character along the conjugated backbone of the molecules, thus expanding absorption approaching 1.5 μm. Moreover, SeBz-4Cl with strengthened intermolecular interactions led to an idea…

A mixed-scale hardware-in-the-loop testing framework for wave energy converter-autonomous underwater vehicle systems ↗
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) offers a promising pathway for evaluating wave energy converter–autonomous underwater vehicle (WEC–AUV) systems in the laboratory, where a mix of laboratory-scale waves and full-scale AUVs present significant challenges for conventional testing approaches. This study aims to develop and validate an HIL testing framework that reproduces wave forces and dock motions for WEC-AUV systems by integrating wave tank experiments with numerical simulations. Core methodologies, including wave distortion, wave prediction, excitation force estimation, and dock motion control, wer…

How to assess evidence about Hardware
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
