46 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Towards sustainable Safety 4.0 adoption in manufacturing organizations: enabler modeling and readiness assessment ↗

The adoption of safety measures in Industry 4.0 (I4.0) is emerging as a strategic approach to reduce workplace accidents and improve the safety environment, which has led to the concept of Safety 4.0 (S4.0). With the technological advancements, there exist some new and emerging risks such as cognitive overload, cyber-physical risks, and psychosocial problems. However, the practical implementation of S4.0 remains limited in manufacturing organizations (MOs) due to various resource-related constraints. Hence, it is essential to assess the current level of Safety 4.0 readiness for the successful…

Two-Stage Method of Manufacturing Passive Conducting Structures by Laser Decomposition of AlN Ceramics ↗

This paper presents a two-stage method for fabricating passive conductive structures of arbitrary geometry on aluminum nitride (AlN) ceramic substrates via laser decomposition using nanosecond pulses of Nd:YAG fiber laser (λ = 1062 nm). We developed a two-stage process which allows one to create elements of low resistance and produce permanent joints to the obtained structures. Studies of laser decomposition of AlN under variable process conditions have shown that effective decomposition of the AlN ceramic surface layer should be carried out in an atmosphere of argon with laser beam fluence we…

Knowledge-based injection molding optimization framework under real manufacturing constraints ↗

Injection molding parameter selection requires the simultaneous balancing of product quality, cycle time, and process stability. The inconsistencies among shop-floor, polymer datasheet, plastic simulation, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) recommended parameters may lead to uncertainty and impractical solutions in real manufacturing. Existing optimization and simulation-based approaches fail to account for this issue, thereby limiting industrial applicability. Consequently, this study proposes a knowledge-based integrated framework for robust and industry-applicable parameter optimization. The m…

The process study and parameter influence in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) of titanium using hot-wire plasma arc welding ↗

Abstract This research aims to study and develop the Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) process for titanium alloys utilizing the Hot-Wire Plasma Arc Welding (Hot-Wire PAW) technique. Due to titanium’s high susceptibility to oxidation during melting, a specialized inert gas shielding device was designed. Process optimization was subsequently conducted using a Full Factorial Design of Experiment (DOE) via Minitab software to determine the optimal parameters: a welding speed of 1.83 mm/s, a wire current of 35 A, and a wire feed rate of 0.85 m/min. Microstructural analysis utilizing the EDS t…

A structured taxonomy of autonomous manufacturing systems: Capabilities, definitions, and enabling technologies ↗

Smart manufacturing has introduced adaptive, data-driven systems to the shop floor and beyond. However, current deployments operate near their technological limits, lacking the contextual adaptability, resilience, and independent decision-making required to manage unplanned disruptions. Autonomous manufacturing systems have emerged as a promising solution to overcome these deficiencies. These systems fulfill industry’s growing need for proactive rather than reactive approaches, balancing efficiency, safety, and agility. However, the field remains fragmented by inconsistent definitions, inadequ…

Next‐Generation Glutamine Synthetase Expression Vector for Therapeutic Protein Manufacturing Using CHO Cells ↗

The glutamine synthetase expression system is widely used for therapeutic protein biomanufacturing in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. Here, we present the design of an enhanced glutamine synthetase vector for generating CHOK1SV GS-KO stable pools that produce recombinant proteins at multigram-per-liter levels. We first developed a synthetic promoter, LHP-1, for high-level constitutive recombinant gene transcription, achieving up to 123% increase in titer across monoclonal and bispecific antibody formats compared to the viral CMV promoter. We then demonstrate, for the first time, that the ba…

From Platform Development to Scale-Up: Stable Producer Cell Line-Based Lentiviral Vector Manufacturing ↗

Background: The development of stable producer cell lines (SCLs) represents a promising alternative for lentiviral vector (LVV) manufacturing, offering improved reproducibility and reduced manufacturing costs. In previous work, our group established an SCL generation platform based on a well-characterized packaging cell line (PCL), demonstrating successful vector production at laboratory scale. However, translation of this platform to larger scales remains necessary for industrial applications. Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the scalability of the existing platform and identify…

How to assess evidence about Manufacturing

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
