Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗709 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Post‐Stimulation Hydraulic Response and Productivity Constraints of a Low‐Productivity Carbonate Geothermal Well in the Small Intramontane Basin, Beijing Piedmont, North China ↗
ABSTRACT The Houcheng Basin, a small intramontane basin in the Beijing piedmont, North China, hosts Mesoproterozoic Jixianian dolomite geothermal reservoirs. Unlike adjacent rift basins such as the Jizhong Depression, which develop high‐quality carbonate reservoirs under favorable preservation conditions, the Houcheng Basin represents a tectonically constrained setting where sustainable geothermal exploitation remains challenging. This study investigates Well 960 in the Houcheng Basin by integrating stimulation records, variable‐frequency pumping–recovery tests, a homogeneous axisymmetric radi…

Multi-Objective Reinforcement Learning for Economic Optimization of Photovoltaic Cleaning and Cooling Schedules ↗
Photovoltaic (PV) output in arid regions is reduced by dust soiling and elevated module temperatures, while cleaning and spray cooling consume water, energy, and labor. Scheduling these interventions is therefore an economic problem that fixed intervals and simple thresholds address imperfectly. We develop a reproducible simulator for five Moroccan sites across four climate regimes, using Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) dust aerosol and ERA5-Land meteorological reanalysis for 2004–2025. The model’s single soiling parameter is calibrated against published field rates; the modele…

Synergistic Additive and Bulky Cation Engineering via a Sequential Vacuum Dry‐Dipping Process for Tin Perovskite Solar Cells ↗
ABSTRACT Scalable fabrication of tin‐based perovskite solar cells (TPSCs) remains challenging due to rapid crystallization, poor film uniformity, and instability of Sn 2+ . Herein, we report a spin‐coating‐free approach, combining blade coating, vacuum‐drying, and controlled dipping methods, to achieve highly crystalline and uniform tin perovskite films. Through systematic studies, we reveal the universal role of SnI 2 in governing crystallization kinetics, where pre‐formed crystalline SnI 2 hinders cation diffusion, while amorphous SnI 2 promotes homogeneous film growth. Additive engineering…

Design of energy efficient display router employing advanced extensible interface synchronizer and clock gating techniques ↗
The increasing need for high resolution, multi-functional displays in smart devices has paved the way for efficient data routing and power management between the host processor and multiple display modules. Existing solutions generally struggle to maintain low power consumption, high-speed data transfer and face issues in handling complex data prioritization. The proposed router architecture overcomes these limitations with the introduction of a prioritized, clock-synchronized and Advanced extensible interface (AXI)-compatible solution to provide efficient data distribution to multiple display…

Data-Driven Operational Control of Ground Source Heat Pump Systems: An Integrated Review of Modeling, Control, Optimization, and Energy System Integration ↗
Ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems play a pivotal role in the decarbonization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. However, their long-term performance depends heavily on operational control strategies capable of addressing system dynamics, varying load conditions, and the increasing integration with renewable and distributed energy resources. Data-driven methods have emerged as promising approaches for improving the operational flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability of GSHP systems. Existing review studies mainly focus on predictive modeling and provide limited syst…

Spiking Parametric Multi-View Fusion Mixer for energy-efficient aero-engine bearing fault diagnosis ↗
Accurate and timely fault diagnosis of rolling bearings in aero-engines is critical for ensuring flight safety, yet deploying deep learning models on resource-constrained edge devices remains a major challenge. This paper proposes the Spiking Parametric Multi-View Fusion Mixer (SPMF-Mixer), a fully spike-driven framework that achieves high diagnostic accuracy with a favorable accuracy–energy trade-off. The core of the architecture is the Multi-Branch Transient Dynamics Aggregator (MTDA), an attention-free module that replaces conventional self-attention with three parallel branches: a Contextu…

Hybrid multi-CNN feature fusion based on gradient vector flow with ant colony optimization for histopathological breast cancer classification ↗
Abstract Breast cancer is a serious disease because malignant tumors can metastasize and threaten life. This study develops a hybrid framework for eight-class subtype recognition and binary benign-versus-malignant histopathological image classification. The framework was evaluated on BreakHis histopathological images at 100× and 200× magnification. Average and Laplacian filtering enhanced image quality before Gradient Vector Flow segmentation isolated pathological regions. ImageNet-pretrained GoogLeNet, ResNet34, and MobileNet served as fixed feature extractors. Global Average Pooling generate…

Lithium-ion battery degradation mode quantification for 2nd life using half-cell data and machine learning techniques ↗
The reactions inside lithium-ion batteries make it complex to quantify the aging behavior, especially those to be used in second-life applications. The hidden mechanisms can suddenly overturn the observable aging mechanism, generating a sudden decrease in the battery performance rate. In this context, this study presents a machine learning model that observes the hidden aging mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries. To do so, anode- and cathode-level data have been obtained to artificially generate several aging paths defined by the loss of lithium inventory, loss of active material, and increment…

Optimization of Energy usage in Wireless Sensor Networks ↗
Abstract Distributed Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) longevity is heavily constrained by finite battery reserves and data transmission overhead. Balancing energy conservation with link reliability under dynamic node mobility remains a challenge. This study presents a Stepwise Transmission Power Control ( PROPOSED_TPC / TPC-ON ) mechanism within a low-overhead, flat network architecture. Operating as a reactive, discrete state machine under a terrestrial Two-Ray Ground propagation model, the algorithm dynamically minimizes data transmission power without complex continuous tracking loops. Extensi…

Learning to Configure Passive RIS on High-Altitude Platform Stations for Energy-Efficient IoT Communications ↗
Internet of Things (IoT) devices operating in remote, rural, or disaster-affected areas often suffer from blocked or weak connections to terrestrial Base Stations (BSs). This paper proposes a High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPSs)-assisted uplink architecture in which a passive Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) mounted on HAPS creates a virtual Line-of-Sight (LoS) link between ground IoT devices and the BS. To maximize Energy Efficiency (EE), we optimize the discrete RIS phase-shift configuration under dynamic wireless channel conditions. The resulting optimization problem is combinato…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
