Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗709 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Energy-Flow Approach Identifying Dynamic Characteristics of Aeroelastic–Electromagnetic Coupling Flutter System in Aircraft Designs ↗
An energy-flow approach (EFA) is developed to reveal the critical flutter speed (CFS) of an air–structure electromagnetic interactive flutter system. To illustrate the theory and method, a two-DOF integrated linear/nonlinear coupling system is investigated, in which the electromagnetic isolator adds damping, increasing CFS and collecting vibration energy. Following a summary of EFA applicable to the system, numerical simulations on a simplified aeroelastic system of natural frequencies 3 and 0.6 are completed. The results reveal that (a) EFA can effectively identify CFSs of linear/nonlinear sy…

High‐Performance, Air‐Stable and Eco‐Friendly Terpene‐Processed Organic Solar Cells via Solvent‐Composition‐Controlled Film Formation Kinetics ↗
ABSTRACT Terpene‐based solvents offer renewable and environmentally benign alternatives to halogenated solvents for sustainable solution processing of organic solar cells (OSCs). However, terpene‐processed OSCs still require improvements in power conversion efficiency (PCE). A key challenge is to ensure sufficient material solubility while controlling film‐formation kinetics to produce a favorable blend morphology. Here, we report efficient (PCE = 18.66%) and air‐stable terpene‐processed OSCs by controlling the composition of a eucalyptol (Eu):tetralin (Tet) binary solvent system. Using PM6:BT…

Fabrication of Electrospun PAN–CNT–CNC Composite Nanofiber Films for Hydrovoltaic Energy Harvesting ↗
Water-induced electrical responses were investigated using porous electrospun PAN-based composite membranes containing CNTs and CNCs. Following the injection of 20 μL of a 2 wt% NaCl solution, transient open-circuit voltage responses were observed from the PAN, PAN–CNT, and PAN–CNT–CNC devices, with maximum values of approximately 47, 42, and 68 mV, respectively, in the tested devices. Three successive injection–drying cycles demonstrated repeated transient responses within individual devices but did not establish device-to-device reproducibility or long-term stability. Raman and FTIR analyses…

Microwave–Matter Interactions in Lithium‐Ion Battery Black Mass: Temperature‐Dependent Dielectric Properties and Carbothermal Reduction Pathways ↗
ABSTRACT Microwave (MW) heating is a promising alternative to conventional pyrometallurgical processes for recovering strategic metals from spent lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). However, the temperature‐dependent dielectric behavior of real waste remains poorly understood, limiting the optimization of MW‐assisted recycling processes. In this work, the interaction between MW radiation and black mass from LiCoO 2 (LCO) and LiNi 0 . 6 Co 0 . 2 Mn 0 . 2 O 2 (NMC) cathodes was investigated by combining dielectric characterization, thermal analysis, structural identification, and MW experiments. The c…

Energy-reserve coordinated scheduling of cascade hydro-photovoltaic-pumped storage systems based on physics-constrained graph neural networks ↗
Intraday scheduling of cascade hydro-photovoltaic-pumped storage systems requires joint coordination of energy dispatch, photovoltaic accommodation, reserve security, and physical feasibility under photovoltaic fluctuation, load variation, inflow uncertainty, and limited storage capacity. Existing optimization methods can describe physical constraints, but their repeated solution in rolling scheduling depends on forecast inputs, uncertainty sets, or scenario construction. Data-driven dispatch models provide fast inference, yet generic temporal or graph structures may mix hydrological transfer,…

Thermal and elasto-plastic simulations of dual-laser powder bed fusion and comparative study of various scan strategies ↗
Abstract Laser powder bed fusion involves highly localized and transient heat input, resulting in steep thermal gradients and residual stresses that may lead to distortion, cracking, and non-uniform mechanical properties. Dual-laser powder bed fusion (D-LPBF) incorporates a secondary laser to locally modulate the thermal field, offering a route to mitigate thermal stresses and improve process efficiency. We develop a multi-physics framework integrating phenomenological D-LPBF process simulation and sequential thermo-mechanical analysis. The framework simulates variations in melt pool geometry…
