Earlier sources: Energy

Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

722 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Anatomy-aware Fine-grained Multimodal Fusion for Laryngopharyngeal Cancer T-Staging Prediction Using CT and Radiology Report ↗

Accurate T-staging is crucial for guiding personalized treatment strategies for laryngopharyngeal cancer. However, current clinical practice relies on invasive biopsy procedures, whereas CT-based staging remains challenging due to the complex patterns of tumor invasion. Recent computer-aided approaches face two key challenges: 1) Structural relationship modeling: existing methods underrepresent anatomically structured patterns of tumor invasion, as they either process whole CT volumes without tumor-specific anatomical constraints or rely on labor-intensive tumor segmentation. 2) Fine-grained c…

    Energy-constrained two-way capacities of the pure-loss bosonic channel ↗

We determine the two-way quantum, entanglement-distribution, private, and secret-key capacities of the pure-loss bosonic channel under an unconditional mean transmitted-photon-number constraint. For transmissivity $η$ and mean photon number $N$, all four capacities coincide and are given by $g(N)-g((1-η)N)$, where $g$ is the entropy of a thermal mode. This resolves the longstanding finite-energy capacity problem by establishing the optimality of the reverse-coherent-information rate introduced in 2009. Our central tool is sector teleportation simulation, which we develop specifically to transf…

Eliminating Tokamak Disruptions with Feedback ↗

Tokamak disruptions caused by tearing modes can be prevented with magnetic feedback. A database of DIII-D locked mode disruptions provides criteria for major disruptions. The main criterion is that the q = 2 rational surface must be sufficiently close to the resistive wall surrounding the plasma to interact with it. This is shown in simulations of a sequence of model equilibria derived from the database. If the wall is ideally conducting, major disruptions do not occur. Magnetic feedback emulates a conducting wall, and can prevent major disruptions. Feedback coils must be designed appropriatel…

Weave Mamba Fusion: Global Cross-Scale Interaction for Lightweight Face Detection ↗

Feature pyramid methods, from FPN to BiFPN, have achieved strong performance in face detection by fusing multi-scale features. However, detecting faces under unconstrained conditions, such as small scale, occlusion, and extreme pose, remains difficult, as it requires global cross-scale dependencies that local fusion cannot model. State space models such as Mamba provide global context with linear complexity by scanning features as a sequence, and therefore offer a promising direction for this problem. Nevertheless, such a scan needs the two pyramid scales combined into a single feature map, an…

Preliminary shielding design of the neutron cameras for D-T fusion product diagnostics on the HL-3 tokamak ↗

For future fusion experiments, the utilization of tritium fuel has emerged as a key consideration. For the deuterium-tritium (D-T) experimental campaign to be implemented on the HL-3 tokamak, two new neutron cameras will be developed for measuring the neutron emission profile. Owing to the intense flux of highly penetrating radiation, detector shielding is paramount to ensuring the reliability of neutron and gamma ray diagnostic systems during D -T experiments. This paper presents the shielding design of the two neutron cameras scheduled for installation on the HL-3 tokamak in 2026. The global…

A multi-index fusion array design method for sparse measurement of radiated sound field of large-aspect-ratio structures ↗

To address the aggravated ill-conditioning of the transfer matrix and the resulting reduction in accuracy and stability of sound field prediction under limited measurement conditions for large-aspect-ratio structural sound sources, a Coherence-Condition Number-Energy Multi-index Method (CCEMM) is proposed for the Prolate Spheroidal Wave Function (PSWF) transfer matrix. The method employs average coherence, condition number, and row energy to characterize the column correlation, numerical stability, and measurement information acquisition capability of the transfer matrix, respectively. On this…

A Technical Review of Battery Technologies in Electric Vehicles ↗

Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) have become a major component of the global transition toward electrified transportation. The rapid expansion of BEV adoption has been accompanied by substantial advances in lithium-ion battery technology, including improvements in cell chemistry, manufacturing processes, energy density, charging capability, and structural integration. However, technical information describing commercial traction batteries remains distributed across manufacturer documents, regulatory databases, engineering studies, teardown investigations, and market reports. This fragmentation…

    DST-AE-F: A leakage-aware dual-stream architecture for short-term residential energy forecasting ↗

This paper proposes DST-AE-F, a leakage-aware dual-stream architecture for short-term residential energy-consumption forecasting. It combines a causal convolution GRU temporal stream, a feature-aggregation stream, nonlinear fusion, a direct forecasting head, and an auxiliary reconstruction decoder used only during training. Reconstructed sequences never enter the forecasting head, and the decoder is removed at inference, preserving a separation between representation regularization and forecasting. Evaluation uses the Smart Home Dataset with Weather Information, chronological 80%/10%/10% parti…

Thermal and electrical behavior analysis of LFP-cathode battery ↗

Traditional state-of-charge (SOC) estimation frameworks for lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO $$_{4}$$ ) batteries remain heavily reliant on extensive, empirical test data to parameterize equivalent circuit models. This reliance creates significant development bottlenecks and limits predictive capability under dynamically shifting thermal environments. This paper introduces a novel, multi-scale, physics-informed simulation pipeline that bridges sub-atomic quantum metrics directly with macroscopic real-time state estimation. Instead of relying on purely empirical tracking configurations, we extrac…

How to assess evidence about Energy

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
