Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗746 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Experimental study on condensation of heat pump plate-fin heat exchangers for new energy vehicles ↗
This study experimentally investigates the condensation heat transfer performance of R134a in four plate-fin heat exchangers designed for electric vehicle battery thermal management, with particular attention to the effects of fin pitch, fin type ( Z -shaped versus H-shaped), saturation pressure, and coolant flow rate. The results reveal that at a saturation pressure of 1.318 MPa, the Z -shaped fin configuration achieves a condensation heat transfer coefficient approximately 9% higher than that of the H-shaped configuration, while at 1.492 MPa the H-shaped fin heat exchanger exhibits an averag…

Integrated Thermal and Energy Optimization of a Solar-Powered 500 MW AI Data Center in Central North Texas ↗
AI data centers raise concerns about electricity consumption and costs, water shortages, and air pollution, as AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and high-performance computing rapidly increase electricity demand and thermal loads. This study develops an integrated framework for a large-scale, solar-assisted AI data center in Granbury, Texas, combining high-efficiency liquid cooling, heat-exchanger optimization, solar photovoltaic (PV) generation, and grid electricity. A MATLAB-based thermal and energy model was developed to evaluate GPU workloads, IT power consumption, cooling demand, coo…

Cloud–Edge Collaborative Energy Management System: Theory and Practical Experience ↗
Rapid growth in renewable generation and electricity-market participation is increasing the number and autonomy of grid-connected resources, challenging conventional centralized energy management systems (EMSs). This paper proposes a cloud–edge collaborative EMS comprising a cloud brain, heterogeneous edge nodes, and a cloud–edge collaboration platform (CCP). The cloud retains wide-area security, market clearing, reserve coordination, and risk-limited dispatch, whereas each edge retains private device models and fast local control. A time-coupled flexibility envelope exposes only aggregate exc…

Wide-bandgap perovskite with homogeneous crystallization and suppressed halogen segregation for efficient perovskite-organic tandem solar cells ↗
The differences in crystallization and migration barriers of iodide and bromide within wide-bandgap perovskite result in inhomogeneous crystallization and halogen-phase segregation, limiting photovoltaic device performance. Here we report a sequential regulation engineering to synchronously homogenize crystallization and stabilize crystallographic phase by adding 2-iminothiolane (ITA). ITA priorly undergoes an in situ thiolation reaction with methylamine to yield a reductive 4-mercapto-N-methylformamidine (MMF). It effectively modulates perovskite crystallization toward homogenization, scaveng…

Multi-trait selection using the MGIDI for simultaneously improving rapeseed performance and energy-eco efficiency in dryland farming ↗
Abstract Attaining sustainability in agroecosystems requires balancing trade-offs between maximizing yield, optimizing energy efficiency, and minimizing environmental footprints. Yet, determining the optimal configuration of tillage and fertilisation regimes to satisfy these multifaceted goals under dryland farming conditions remains a complex agronomic challenge. This two-year field experiment aimed to identify the most efficient integrated management strategy for winter rapeseed ( Brassica napus L.) using a split-plot design comprising three tillage intensities and ten integrated fertilisati…

Comparative technoeconomic assessment of concentrated solar power plants across potential locations in Saudi Arabia ↗
Concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies offer strong potential to support energy diversification in regions with extensive solar resources, as they provide dispatchable renewable energy when integrated with thermal energy storage (TES). Saudi Arabia, located within the solar belt, benefits from high direct normal irradiance (DNI) and favorable conditions for large-scale CSP deployment, aligning with its Vision 2030 objectives to integrate renewable energy systems. This study advances CSP research by delivering a comparative location-sensitive technoeconomic assessment across four high-DNI…

Molecular insights into H2 storage in coal: A critical assessment of cushion gases and coal rank ↗
The underground storage of hydrogen (H 2 ) in coal seams presents a promising pathway for large-scale energy storage, yet the influence of coal rank and cushion gases on storage performance remains poorly understood, particularly under varying temperature and pressure conditions. To address this gap, we conducted a systematic comparative study of H 2 geo-storage behavior across four distinct coal ranks, ranging from high-volatile bituminous B (HvbB) to semi-anthracite (Sa), using grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Our results reveal that the adsorption…

Diaminopropane dihydroiodide passivation enables semitransparent perovskite modules for large-area four-terminal tandem solar cells ↗
Scaling inverted perovskite solar cells from efficient small-area devices to semitransparent modules remains challenging, particularly for mid-bandgap absorbers used in tandem photovoltaics. Here, we investigate 1,3-diaminopropane dihydroiodide (PDADI) as an interfacial passivator for 1.61 eV tri-cation perovskites solar cells and further evaluate its applicability to semitransparent module scaling. PDADI treatment improves the perovskite film morphology, reduces the trap density, prolongs the carrier lifetime and optimizes the perovskite/PC61BM interfacial energy alignment, thereby suppressin…

Numerical study of functionally graded material models for evaluation of thermomechanical loading on nuclear fuel particles ↗
Functionally graded materials (FGMs) are well suited for analyzing the thermomechanical behavior of dispersed fuel particles under severe thermal and mechanical conditions, due to their capability to exhibit continuously varying properties in the radial direction. In this study, the primary focus is placed on the numerical analysis of an FGM hollow sphere subjected to thermal loading and internal pressure, as this configuration is more relevant to higher burnup conditions and the associated buildup of internal gas pressure. Within this framework, the radial distribution of material properties…

Off-design performance of a supercritical CO2 propulsion system for nuclear-powered merchant vessels under variable load and seawater temperature ↗
This study presents a preliminary analysis of the steady-state off-design performance of a nuclear-powered supercritical CO 2 (sCO 2 ) system, focusing on part-load operation, seawater temperature variations, and coordination strategies for a single-reactor dual-loop configuration. The results show significant differences in thermal efficiency among the seven operating strategies. Compressor shaft-speed control provides the highest efficiency among stand-alone strategies but is limited to 100%–50% full power of a loop (FP loop ). Inventory control maintains high efficiency over the full 100%–2…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
