THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗752 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

ADVANCED ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF SOLAR-BATTERY MICROGRIDS USING NEURO-FUZZY INTELLIGENCE ↗
As renewable energy resources start to penetrate remote and standalone microgrids, maintaining voltage stability, power quality and reliable energy management has become a big challenge. Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are environmentally friendly and sustainable; however, they are also intermittent in nature because of the fluctuations of solar irradiance and weather conditions. This project aims for a solution to these challenges by proposing an **Intelligent Neuro-Fuzzy Control Strategy for Voltage Stability Enhancement in Standalone Solar–Battery Microgrids**. The proposed system consists…

Understanding urban energy policies as transition pathways toward sustainable and smart cities ↗
The transition of urban energy systems toward sustainability and smartness depends on effective policy design. Despite significant scholarly attention, research remains fragmented across policy instruments, system components, and analytical perspectives. To address these limitations, this study presents an integrated framework that combines a PRISMA-guided systematic review, artificial intelligence-assisted topic modeling (BERTopic), and Multi-Level Perspective (MLP) transition theory. This approach is applied to a corpus of 266 peer-reviewed articles (2021–2025) to extract specific mechanisms…

An active hydronic radiative sky cooling system for mitigating envelope thermal-resistance penalties and enabling climate-adaptive cooling-energy savings in Chinese residential buildings ↗
Radiative sky cooling can reject building heat through the atmospheric infrared window, but its surface-level cooling potential may differ substantially from building-side electricity savings because of envelope resistance, source-load mismatch, dew-point constraints, and auxiliary electricity use. This study develops a mechanism-resolved system-level accounting framework for an active hydronic radiative sky cooling system (AHRC) serving a single-zone residential archetype. The framework couples liquid-cooled radiative panels, a hydronic loop, chilled-water storage, dry terminal coils, dew-poi…

The Investigation of Fault Behaviors and Locations in Hybrid Multiterminal HVDC System Integrated with Renewable Energy Sources ↗
The study of hybrid multiterminal high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems revealed different outcomes regarding their performance under fault conditions. Previous research showed that under the fault conditions, the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) voltage experienced a drop to zero, accompanied by a reverse overshoot. In this paper, a model that integrates hybrid multiterminal line commutated converters (LCCs) and a voltage source converter (VSC) with an HVDC network is presented. The model has been mathematically formulated and implemented using Matlab/Simulink (R2018b) software to exam…

Frequency-Weighted EIS Manifold Learning for Lithium-Ion Battery Remaining Useful Life Prediction ↗
Accurate remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of lithium-ion batteries is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of battery management systems. However, conventional electrical and thermal signals are sensitive to operating conditions, while linear feature extraction methods may not adequately characterize the nonlinear electrochemical aging information embedded in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Moreover, the unequal degradation relevance of different impedance-frequency regions is rarely considered. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a frequency-weig…

Mathematical FCEV System Modeling for Energy-Consumption-Oriented Optimal Design of an Ultra-High-Speed Air Compressor Motor ↗
Ultra-high-speed air compressor motors in fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are conventionally designed to maximize efficiency at the maximum operating speed. However, under realistic driving conditions, compressor operation is concentrated in the intermediate-speed region, resulting in a mismatch between component-level efficiency optimization and vehicle-level energy performance. This study establishes an integrated FCEV system model to derive the operating-speed distribution of the air compressor motor and formulates a cycle energy objective for the compressor motor that reflects actual d…

Is energy security compatible with sustainability? A structural system analysis ↗
This study examines whether energy security is structurally compatible with environmental sustainability under contemporary energy transition pathways. Using an unbalanced panel of 112 countries over 2000–2023, we estimate a three-stage least-squares system linking energy security, greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainability performance. Compatibility is defined as a positive and statistically distinguishable total effect of energy security on sustainability operating through emissions, conditional on the renewable energy share. In the full sample, stronger energy security is associated with…

Turbulent and non-isothermal devised topology cooling plates for liquid-cooled energy storage battery system ↗
Topology-optimized cooling plates effectively exploit the hydraulic-thermal performance of battery thermal management. However, the turbulent state and thermal-dependent parameters of the coolant remain persistently overlooked inside the design loop. The resulting channels are therefore optimized for a flow regime and a set of properties that the cooling plate not experiences. Here we establish a turbulent and non-isothermal topology optimization model for a 46.59 kWh energy storage battery module. Penalty terms on the design variables suppress the spurious turbulent kinetic energy and dissipa…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
