Earlier sources: Energy

Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

700 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Hyperspectral and Multispectral Image Fusion via Deep Generalised Linear Mixed Model ↗

ABSTRACT Hyperspectral–multispectral image fusion is an incomplete information fusion problem, and directly embedding information can lead to modality‐specific responses and cause spectral distortion, whereas the strong interband redundancy of hyperspectral images makes full‐dimensional fusion inefficient. To address the aforementioned issues, we propose a novel fusion framework based on the generalised linear mixed model theory. Specifically, high‐dimensional hyperspectral images can be composed of a low‐dimensional abundance matrix, which describes the pixel‐wise spatial proportions of the s…

Fluorination-Dependent Phosphonic Acid Additives for Enhanced Perovskite Film Quality, Stability, and Photovoltaic Performance in Inverted Solar Cells ↗

Defect passivation is essential for suppressing non-radiative recombination and improving the stability of perovskite solar cells. In this work, we examine how the degree of fluorination in benzylphosphonic acid additives affects film quality and device performance. Two fluorinated analogs are compared, and 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzylphosphonic acid (pFBPA) is found to adsorb preferentially at iodine vacancy sites through stable Pb-O coordination, as confirmed by binding energy analysis. This passivation effect produces better film morphology, more favorable energy level alignment, and improve…

    Real-time digital-twin analysis of multi-terminal DC grid for hydrogen-powered zero-emission mining haul trucks ↗

As the world pursues sustainable solutions to reduce carbon emissions and minimize environmental impact, the mining industry faces significant challenges. Hydrogen fuel cells have become a promising candidate for mining haul trucks, playing a crucial role in advancing a low-carbon future. However, implementing large-scale hydrogen fuel cells in heavy-duty trucks demands careful real-time monitoring and protection. This paper presents the integration of real-time digital-twin (RTDT) analysis within a multi-terminal direct current (MTDC) grid to support the deployment of hydrogen-battery hybrid…

Experimental study and performance evaluation of direct refrigerant cooling/heating thermal management systems for full-scale commercial battery packs ↗

Direct refrigerant cooling (DRC) is emerging as a pivotal solution for electric vehicle (EV) battery thermal management (BTM), offering superior heat dissipation over conventional liquid cooling. However, existing research is largely confined to numerical simulations or module-level experiments of small-scale systems, which may not fully capture the two-phase refrigerant behavior in long-path cold plates or the thermal characteristics of full-scale pack zones. Consequently, the overall thermal performance of commercial full-scale packs under high-power direct cooling and heating remains poorly…

Efficiency Enhancement of Organic Solar Cell Via Incorporation of Ag NPs and Moth-Eye-like Structure ↗

Abstract This study investigated a simple strategy for enhancing the efficiency of organic solar cells (OSCs) by incorporating silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) and an antireflection moth-eye (ARM) film. The device structure was composed of a commercially available ARM film/indium tin oxide-coated glass substrate/aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO):Ag NPs/poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT): [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM)/MoO3/Ag. The use of a commercially available ARM film eliminated the complexity of the nanofabrication processes, enabling a simple and practical device fabri…

Experimental study on thermal management and water harvesting characteristics of integrated solar panel with wet air adsorption ↗

    • A low-cost and highly hygroscopic lithium bromide solution is adopted to construct an integrated solar system. • Photovoltaic waste heat drives water desorption while simultaneously enabling photovoltaic cooling. • The integrated system provides an efficient solar-driven approach for synergistic water and energy production. • The water collection efficiency of the system reached a peak of 46.7 g m −2 h −1 . Cooling the photovoltaic (PV) panels via wet air adsorption–desorption is attracting increasingly attentions due to its passive operation and cooling efficiency. However, the cooling dura…

Hydrodynamic performance and PTO optimization of a multi-body articulated wave energy device ↗

The optimal damping allocation between different PTO groups remains an unresolved conundrum, hampering the full realization of their performance potential. Existing studies merely optimize single-side PTO damping or adopt identical damping for all joints and ignore the strong bidirectional coupling between inner and outer hinges, while simultaneously, combining multiple parameters will generate a large number of cases for calculation, requiring extremely long time and enormous computational costs. This study proposes an application-tailored iterative surrogate-assisted evolutionary framework c…

Edge-Aware Dynamic Convolution and Cross-Modal Relation-Aware Fusion Network for Infrared and Visible Image Fusion ↗

Infrared and visible image fusion combines complementary thermal and structural information from the two modalities into a single composite image. Existing methods have two critical limitations: (1) inadequate utilization of visible structural information causes blurred edges, and (2) modality-specific and shared responses are not always separately represented when learning the fusion weights. To address these problems, an edge-aware dynamic convolution and cross-modal relation-aware fusion network is proposed to fully exploit visible structural details and explicitly model complementary infor…

MambaFusion: Registration-assisted lumbar CT-MRI image fusion via Mamba and dynamic feature modeling ↗

Medical images play a pivotal role in clinical diagnosis, yet a single imaging modality often fails to provide complete anatomical and pathological information. Multimodal image fusion addresses this limitation by integrating complementary information from different modalities. In this study, a CT-MRI registration and preprocessing procedure was first introduced to reduce spatial mismatch between lumbar CT and MRI images. The MRI volume was registered and resampled into the CT coordinate space, ensuring spatial consistency before image fusion. Landmark-based registration evaluation across 30 p…

How to assess evidence about Energy

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
