Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗700 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Operational Carbon Performance of Electric Robotaxis: Deadheading, Occupancy, Grid Carbon, and Service Scale ↗
Electric robotaxis have no tailpipe emissions, but the carbon associated with operating the service depends on empty travel, passenger load, vehicle electricity use, and the electricity supply. This study uses 29 months of California commercial robotaxi reporting from August 2023 to December 2025 to examine those factors on a passenger-mile basis. Vehicle-Miles Traveled per Passenger-Mile Traveled (VMT/PMT) is decomposed exactly into deadheading and passenger-stage occupancy and then linked to electricity use and location-based operational carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions. Between 20…

From Hazard Assessment to Operational Action: A Preliminary Evidence-Bounded Intervention-Selection Framework for Hydrogen Energy Facilities ↗
Hydrogen energy facilities require recurring intervention decisions under incomplete probability data. This study proposes the Differentiated Process-Safety Intervention Framework (DPSIF), a preliminary conceptual framework for structuring such decisions. A published PRISMA 2020 review identified 820 records; DPSIF-specific re-screening retained 120 of its 149 core studies and selected 29 other records from the same search, yielding a 149-source structured evidence map. Seventeen regulatory and institutional instruments formed a separate corpus. Eighteen retrospective cases, 850 HIAD 2.1 recor…

Tailoring flexible Cu₂SnS₃ thin film solar cells through controlled heating rate and sulfurization time ↗
Cu₂SnS₃ (CTS) thin films were fabricated on flexible Mo foil substrates using a two-stage process consisting of spin coating of precursor films followed by sulfurization in a Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP) system at 525 °C. The effects of heating rate and sulfurization time on the structural, morphological, optical, electrical, and photovoltaic properties of the CTS films were systematically investigated. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy confirmed that all films predominantly crystallized in the monoclinic CTS phase, accompanied by minor tetragonal CTS and trace Cu₂Sn₃S₇ secondary phas…

Devitrification of solar panel glass waste with fly ash for use as a partial cement replacement in concrete ↗
The rapid expansion of solar energy deployment is expected to generate substantial volumes of end-of-life solar panel waste, creating an increasing need for effective recycling and valorization strategies. This study compares the performance of solar panel glass waste (SPGW) and solar panel glass waste devitrified with fly ash (d-SPGW) in cement paste and concrete mixtures. SPGW and d‐SPGW were incorporated at replacement levels of 12.5 wt% (SPGW12.5/d-SPGW12.5) and 25 wt% (SPGW25/d-SPGW25). Cement paste samples were used for setting time and hydration-temperature measurements, mercury intrusi…

Lithium-ion battery state of health estimation based on a hybrid kernel adaptive selective state-space model ↗
Given the ubiquity of lithium-ion batteries as grid-scale energy storage systems, the accurate estimation of their State of Health (SOH) is of paramount importance, serving as a key enabler for reliability and predictive maintenance. However, battery degradation is driven by highly nonlinear aging mechanisms, while internal electrochemical states are not directly observable, posing significant challenges for robust SOH assessment. To address these issues, we propose a KAN–Adaptive–Delta Mamba state-space model (KAD-Mamba), which tightly couples Kolmogorov–Arnold Network (KAN) spline representa…

Hierarchy-Aware AI Nuclear Phenotyping in Human iPSC-Derived Cardiomyocytes: A Preclinical Framework for Imaging Biomarker Development ↗
Background/Objectives: Nuclear morphology and chromatin organisation provide quantifiable imaging features that may serve as candidate biomarkers of cellular state. However, many cellular imaging studies analyse multiple cells from the same microscopy field without explicitly accounting for their hierarchical dependence, which may lead to optimistic estimates of model performance. This study developed a hierarchy-aware AI framework to investigate DAPI-derived nuclear phenotypes in human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CMs). Methods: A six-day fluorescence microscopy dataset was processed usi…

Hierarchical Detection and D-S Evidence Fusion-Based Insulation Diagnosis of Oil-Immersed Current Transformers ↗
Partial discharge monitoring of oil-immersed current transformers (CTs) is susceptible to electromagnetic interference, and single-parameter detection is biased due to incomplete information. To further improve the safety of the oil-immersed CT, an insulation diagnosis method combining hierarchical detection with Dempster–Shafer evidence (D-S) theory is proposed in this paper. A three-step diagnostic framework is constructed. At the first step, the liquid level is monitored since it changes with the gas generated by partial discharge. If an abnormality is identified in the first-step screening…

Dual Strategy of Molecular-Weight Control and Ionic Doping in Poly(benzodifurandione) for Energy-Efficient Neuromorphic Organic Electrochemical Transistors ↗
Abstract Poly(benzodifurandione) (PBFDO) is a promising n-type mixed conductor for organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs), but its high intrinsic conductivity results in excessive operating currents and energy consumption for neuromorphic computing. Here, we combine molecular-weight engineering and ionic doping to overcome this limitation. Benzofuranone end-capping produces a reduced chain length polymer (PBFDO-BF) with substantially lower intrinsic conductivity, while LiTFSI doping enhances ion-mediated conductance modulation and synaptic functionality. PBFDO-BF + LiTFSI provides enhance…

Battery industrialisation and the energy transition: Policy coordination and industrial path in Morocco ↗
The global energy transition is accelerating battery production, creating policy challenges for countries seeking to join low-carbon supply chains. Research on industrial upgrading and global value chains explains integration into production networks. In contrast, research on the development of green industrial paths establishes the importance of regional preconditions, asset modification, and firm- and system-level agency. Less is known, however, about how system-level actors coordinate these elements in structurally constrained and globally interdependent contexts. This paper examines Morocc…

A Voltage Waveform Diagnostic Observable Quantity for Early Indication of Cell-to-Cell Voltage Reversal in Series-Connected Lithium-Ion Cells for Electric-Vehicle Battery Management Systems ↗
This paper investigates waveform-level voltage difference features for the early indication of cell-to-cell voltage reversal in two series-connected lithium-ion cells for electric-vehicle battery management systems (BMSs). The key observation is that a local sign reversal of the cell-to-cell voltage difference can appear inside the constant-current (CC) discharge waveform before the cycle-mean voltage difference changes sign. A positive-fraction feature is introduced to quantify this local waveform reversal and is interpreted as a candidate BMS-oriented indication layer rather than as a univer…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
