THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Software

Software turns computational ideas into tools and services. This region follows open source projects, developer tools, programming languages, databases, operating systems, and web and cloud platforms.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

2054 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: Monitor Postgres Health ↗

Hello, my name is Danny and I created dbhealth to monitor postgres. I have an SRE background and was working in data eng for a couple years. dbhealth provides verdicts on health and exposes these through: - statsd - prometheus - OTLP - Turbostats (the protocol that powers https://control.turbolytics.io/ ) dbhealth also provides table freshness by profiling the most recent row available. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you!

    Show HN: RoboGym – open-source (Apache-2.0) Dual arm SO101 playground ↗

After seeing so many demos on web on how Astra works with sim2real, I decided to build my own with dual arm SO101. My physical setup is exactly as in this sim. The code is under Apache-2.0 and available here https://github.com/torayeff/robogym . I would appreciate any comments and feedback.

EPIDEMIOLOGY OF RUST DISEASE IN MAIZE (Zea mays L.) ↗

Abstract Rust diseases consists of Southern rust, Common rust, and Tropical rust, has contracted causing substantial losses in maize in the world. Disease began to be seen attacking the corn crop in South Denpasar-Bali. The purpose of this study to determine the presence of rust disease on corn, contracted diseases, epidemiology, and weather factors that dominate affect disease progression. The results showed that the type of rust that attacks corn planting area in the south of Denpasar was a kind of Southern Corn Rust, caused by the fungus Puccinia polysora. Pathogens can be identified by ure…

Multi-level point cloud transform regression via overlapping region prediction ↗

Accurate and efficient point cloud registration is an important application of artificial intelligence for precise navigation and reliable decision-making in autonomous driving. However, the down-sampling of point clouds introduces interference from non-overlapping regions, resulting in the loss of important geometric information and a reduction in registration accuracy. Therefore, this study proposes an overlap-aware multi-level transformation regression network (OMTRNet), a deep-learning model that couples overlap prediction with frequency-domain and spatial feature interaction. Through a hi…

GP-DPC: Genetic Programming-Driven Nonlinear Feature Projection for Scalable Community Detection in Attributed Networks ↗

Attributed networks are widely used to model engineering systems in which both relational structure and node-specific information are important, such as social platforms, transportation networks, and knowledge graphs. Community detection in such networks requires methods that can jointly exploit graph topology and heterogeneous node attributes while remaining computationally feasible. To address this problem, this paper proposes GP-DPC, a genetic programming-driven framework for projectionguided community detection in attributed networks. Instead of evolving pairwise similarity functions, GP-D…

Efficient and scalable Python implementation of ANCOM-BC and ANCOM-BC2 for omics differential abundance testing ↗

Abstract Summary Analysis of Compositions of Microbiomes with Bias Correction (ANCOM-BC) and its successor ANCOM-BC2 are critical algorithms for differential abundance analysis. Designed for handling compositional data, they feature the ability to estimate the unknown sampling fractions and correct the bias induced by their differences. While the original R package implementing the two methods is robust for standard dataset sizes, the increasing magnitude of modern multi-omics studies presents computational challenges, often resulting in a runtime bottleneck for high-dimensional data. Here, we…

How to assess evidence about Software

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
