THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Software
Software turns computational ideas into tools and services. This region follows open source projects, developer tools, programming languages, databases, operating systems, and web and cloud platforms.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗2092 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

TestPrism: Rethinking Test Evaluation Beyond a Single Reference ↗
Large language model (LLM) coding agents have advanced test generation across diverse programming tasks. However, the common practice of evaluating tests against a single reference solution overlooks alternative valid implementations and can overstate test quality. We introduce TestPrism, comprising 300 test tasks from 17 sources and 3000 candidate implementations, evenly split between valid and invalid solutions. Its primary metric, Joint Success Function, requires the generated tests to fail on the initial program state, accept every valid candidate, and reject every invalid candidate. Acros…

Cadence: Strategic Guidance for Coding Agents ↗
Runtime monitors are increasingly used to improve the reliability of LLM-based coding agents by inspecting execution trajectories and delivering corrective guidance upon detecting misbehavior. However, their effectiveness remains limited by static guidance triggering schemes. Existing monitors rely either on fixed inspection intervals, missing timely guidance during severe misbehaviors while incurring unnecessary overhead during healthy execution, or on rigid heuristic rules, failing to detect complex reasoning errors. To address these limitations, we propose Cadence, a dynamic monitoring fram…

Secure Quantum Handshakes: Quantum Network Verification Via Simon's Algorithm ↗
Quantum networking represents the future of secure communication, enabling fundamentally new capabilities through quantum information exchange. However, these networks require secure, high-fidelity quantum communication channels, and they require every participating node to be a genuine quantum device. Currently, there is no reliable method to verify whether clients entering a quantum network truly possess quantum computational capability and are connecting over robust channels. In this work, we introduce a client-validation protocol that functions as a proof-of-quantum-capability handshake. O…

How to assess evidence about Software
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
