THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Software
Software turns computational ideas into tools and services. This region follows open source projects, developer tools, programming languages, databases, operating systems, and web and cloud platforms.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗2049 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Consistent dilatancy-based constitutive model of rock salt for geo-energy storage applications: An open-source numerical implementation ↗
Accurate numerical simulation of salt cavern performance in underground geo-energy storage of hydrogen, natural gas, compressed air, and CO 2 requires the integration of precise design criteria into a rigorous mechanical constitutive framework. This framework should be consistent with the design criteria, describing all mechanical loading (either short or long-term) deformations with a single parameter set. Due to methodological disconnects between the experimental derivation of design criteria and constitutive laws, only a limited number of consistent constitutive models exist in the literatu…

Integrating real world IoT and AI supported live coding in LMS based programming learning ↗
Web-based technologies have influenced programming education, yet many courses still rely on static materials and delayed feedback, making it difficult for students to test ideas during problem-solving. This limitation is especially evident in Internet of Things (IoT) programming, where code must interact with physical devices. This study examined an LMS-based learning module combining live coding, remote IoT device access, and AI-supported formative feedback. The module was implemented with 97 undergraduate students in an IoT-based web programming course, using a single-group pre-test and pos…

Self-buoyant cell-spheroid culture programming multi-spheroid assembly ↗
Tempo-spatially controlled culture and assembly of cellular spheroids are fundamental in engineering tissue-like assembloids for scalable application, yet remain a technical challenge. Here, we show self-buoyant culture of cell spheroids and programmable assembly of multi-spheroid by microbubbles in a high-throughput, external field-free and miniaturized format. This approach allows one-step engineering of biocompatible cell-adhesive buoyancy interface that lifts the self-adaptive levitation growth of reliable one-drop-one-spheroid in an array without requiring any external fields. Using this…

Evaluating Pose Estimation Uncertainty From Automatic Point Cloud Registration in Multi‐Sensor Robotic Systems ↗
ABSTRACT The poses derived from automatic point cloud registration between stationary laser scans that occur naturally in robotic multi‐sensor systems operating in stop‐and‐go mode have the potential to greatly improve and aid localization and trajectory estimation. The uncertainty assessment of these registered poses is crucial for its correct system integration and utilization, for example, for mobile mapping applications. However, obtaining ground truth data with sufficient accuracy for both the position and attitude remains challenging. In this paper, we present a novel measurement setup a…

Neonatal overfeeding accelerates age-related sarcopenia and metabolic disorders through lifelong gut mucosa and microbiota programming in mice ↗
Early-life nutrition shapes lifelong health, yet the long-term consequences of childhood overnutrition, particularly on musculoskeletal aging, remain unclear. Here, we show that neonatal overfeeding acts as a developmental insult that accelerates age-related sarcopenia in both sexes. Using different mouse models, early overnutrition shortens lifespan and exacerbates late-life muscle atrophy, accompanied by metabolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, neonatal overfeeding disrupts goblet cell development, leading to persistent mucus barrier defects and consequently reduced Akkermansia muciniphila (A…

Flexibility of the TRMT10C N-Terminal Domain Helix Explored by Molecular Dynamics Simulations ↗
Abstract The human mitochondrial tRNA methyltransferase TRMT10C contains a 41-residue long positively charged α-helix in its N-terminal domain, interacting with tRNAs from the anticodon to the T-loops. Here, we investigated the flexibility of this N-terminal long α-helix using comparative molecular dynamics simulations in explicit solvent with three different force fields/water model combinations, alongside two helices of identical length but different sequences: a polyalanine helix and an AEEEKRK repeat helix. We also expanded our simulations to three additional helices belonging to the Trm10…

BioForge: A Fast and Safe Macromolecular Structure Preparation Library in Rust ↗
SUMMARY: BioForge is the first macromolecular structure preparation library for Rust, complementing sequence-analysis libraries such as Rust-Bio with cleaning, geometry-based missing-atom repair, protonation, and solvation as a force-field-agnostic preprocessing stage. Across 22 structures (1439-3 819 839 atoms) on a single CPU core, BioForge scales linearly in wall time (fitted N0.89) versus super-linear N1.17 for PDBFixer and N1.25 for PDB2PQR, completing the 3.8M-atom 9MJN in 5.1 s at 1.1 GB peak (PDBFixer: error, 273 GB); PDB2PQR is limited to fewer than 100 000 atoms. BioForge also compil…

Show HN: Bees – Run agentic teams on your own computer (open source) ↗
Author here. Bees is an agentic harness that runs on your own machine — macOS, Windows and Linux, MIT/Apache 2.0. The problem we kept hitting in client work: every agent platform wanted to be the place your documents live. We wanted the opposite — the orchestrator reads your files in place, on your disk, and we never see them. How it works: you describe work in plain English, Bees proposes the agents, stages, tools and schedule, and nothing runs…

How to assess evidence about Software
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
