THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Software
Software turns computational ideas into tools and services. This region follows open source projects, developer tools, programming languages, databases, operating systems, and web and cloud platforms.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗2051 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

DoGBench: Can Agents Meet Expert Standards for User-Facing Documentation? ↗
We introduce DoGBENCH (Documentation Generation Benchmark), to our knowledge, the first benchmark for generating and maintaining real user-facing software documentation. It asks whether an agent can produce documentation that experienced technical writers would accept in review. The benchmark contains 292 items from open source projects, including Helm, PostHog, and Mautic. Each item gives the agent a pre-change repository and a trigger, such as a code pull request or a reported documentation gap. The agent must first decide whether the documentation needs an update. For items that need one, t…

Hi HN, After building for 7 months, I'm excited to announce Paperweight V1. The idea is that your inbox knows who you ever interacted with and knows where your data lives. Every account you ever created, every service you signed up for, and every online purchase is connected to your email. Most people have hundreds of accounts they've forgotten about, creating security risks and privacy exposure. Paperweight scans your email history locally to fi…

Hi everyone, Sanjeev here- founder. My journey in AI started with wanting to break into emerging AI companies, but without deep hands-on experience, it was hard to even get noticed. I started with scope focused minor projects but then curiosity got expanded to understand what happens under the hood of LLM calls, what goes in & how reliable AI agents works and gets built by world's top companies and how future of agents would evolve in next 10 yea…

How to assess evidence about Software
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
