THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Open source software
Open source software makes source code available under licenses that grant specified rights to use, modify, and share it. Follow public projects and releases; availability, maintenance, and license terms should be checked in each repository.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗381 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: RoboGym – open-source (Apache-2.0) Dual arm SO101 playground ↗
After seeing so many demos on web on how Astra works with sim2real, I decided to build my own with dual arm SO101. My physical setup is exactly as in this sim. The code is under Apache-2.0 and available here https://github.com/torayeff/robogym . I would appreciate any comments and feedback.

ActiNet: an open-source tool for activity intensity classification of wrist-worn accelerometry using self-supervised deep learning ↗
Abstract The use of accurate and reliable open-source human activity recognition (HAR) models on passively collected wrist-accelerometer data is essential in large-scale epidemiological studies that investigate the association between physical activity and health outcomes. While self-supervised learning has generated considerable excitement in improving HAR, the extent to which these models, coupled with hidden Markov models (HMMs), would make a tangible improvement to classification performance and the effect this may have on the predicted daily activity intensity compositions is unknown. Show HN: Frost – An open-source menu bar manager for macOS 26 and 27 ↗
Frost is a menu bar manager for macOS 26 and 27. It is free, MIT-licensed. No accounts or analytics. It split menu bar into three sections: Visible, Hidden and Always Hidden. You can edit menu bar layout by the layout editor. Frost is still in early stage. Any feedback is welcome.

How to assess evidence about Open source software
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
