THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Databases
Databases organize information for storage and retrieval. Follow relational and nonrelational systems, query engines, indexing, replication, and operational tools; performance claims depend on workload and configuration.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗97 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: I built AgeDB, a database for AI agents to store context and data ↗
Hi HN, I’m building AgeDB, a database for AI agents to store context and data, share it across agents and model providers, and query it using natural language. The idea is that information collected by one agent can be reused by another, even when they use different providers. You can also ask for the data in plain language(ish). I’d love to hear what you think, including reasons you wouldn’t use it.

Text-to-SQL for Low-Resource Languages: A Unified Large Language Model Framework Evaluated on Arabic, Japanese, and Vietnamese ↗
Text-to-SQL research has concentrated on English, while prior work on Arabic, Japanese, and Vietnamese has largely relied on grammar-constrained parsers or zero-shot prompting, with recent work beginning to explore trained LLM-based alternatives. We investigate whether a unified fine-tuned open-source pipeline can serve typologically distant low-resource languages and quantify the same-pipeline English-to-target gap on parallel Spider instances. We fine-tune Qwen2.5-Coder-7B-Instruct with QLoRA using shared schema grounding, value grounding, an English translation hint, and execution-based sel…

Population Frequency of RYR1 and CACNA1S Variants Associated with Malignant Hyperthermia in the Korean General Population: A KOVA Database Analysis ↗
Background/Objectives: Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a rare but life-threatening pharmacogenetic disorder. It is most often caused by variants in RYR1 and CACNA1S. The frequency of these variants differs across populations. However, no study has examined this in a general, unselected Korean population. Methods: We screened 81 RYR1 and CACNA1S variants from the European Malignant Hyperthermia Group (EMHG) diagnostic panel (79 RYR1, 2 CACNA1S). We searched for these variants in the KOVA II database, which holds genetic data from 5305 healthy Koreans. Each variant was matched by exact genomic po…

Establishing inherent deformation database for Q355 steel T-joints in stiffened panels by numerical approach and artificial neural network ↗
The typical welding joints in stiffened panels are generally subjected to different structural restraint conditions, and the welding processes applied to individual joints may also vary to some extent. Consequently, inherent deformations may differ among joints within a given structure, and it is difficult to acquire all the inherent deformation data for every joint. Therefore, the conventional inherent strain method faces a variation issue. This study focuses on the stiffened panel structures and takes low-alloy steel T-joints as the research object. By employing experiments and numerical sim…

2D theoretically twistable material database ↗
The study of twisted two-dimensional (2D) materials, in which twisting layers create moiré superlattices, has created opportunities for investigating topological phases and strongly correlated physics. The broader potential of a seemingly infinite set of twistable 2D materials remains largely unexplored. Here, we define "theoretically twistable materials" as single- or multilayer structures that allow for the construction of simple continuum models of their moiré structures. Our high-throughput algorithm systematically searches for theoretically twistable semimetals and insulators based on the…

How to assess evidence about Databases
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
