THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Cloud

This software thread follows cloud through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

140 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Profiling the Energy Consumption of Serverless Functions with Joule Profiler ↗

Cloud providers and customers have widely adopted serverless computing as a convenient paradigm for deploying and executing functions on demand. To do so, serverless platforms require provisioning an appropriate execution environment before a single line of the function's code runs. These environments consist of several layers, such as container engines, hypervisors, unikernels, and programming language runtimes. While the literature has investigated the performance of these serverless platforms, it treats functions as black boxes, and the community lacks key insights into the environmental im…

An intelligent framework for predicting excavation deformation risk in tunnels incorporating rockmass classification and cloud-model-enhanced modeling ↗

Intelligent drilling-and-blasting tunneling is a key direction in tunnel engineering. Traditional decision-making modes rely on preliminary geological investigation and empirical judgment, and therefore they are unable to quantitatively assess the deformation risks of surrounding rock. Moreover, these modes are deficient in technical means for rapid acquisition of geological information, as well as for efficient analysis and dynamic decision making with the assistance of finite element methods and artificial intelligence algorithms. This paper proposes a computationally efficient intelligent f…

A quantum-secured explainable artificial intelligence framework with metaheuristic optimization for scalable cloud environments ↗

Abstract Cloud computing represents an essential platform for intelligent data processing, scalable service provision, and distributed computing structures. Unfortunately, existing cloud systems are still confronted with numerous cybersecurity issues, the absence of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), ineffective resource management, and scalability constraints, especially when it comes to new emerging quantum-based threats. Conventional cloud security instruments are based mostly on classical cryptography, meaning that they may become insecure in post-quantum conditions, while the exis…

Show HN: Serverless, cheater-proof MTG engine using zero-knowledge play ↗

Hey HN! Tried to show this off a couple times before but didn't really get much traction, figured now that more time's been spent in the UI/UX side of things I'd give it another shot. This is my attempt, started at the beginning of the year, to build a complete Magic: The Gathering engine. Instead of coding individual card scripts, a compiler takes oracle text as input and outputs the card definition itself into executable effects that ran in the…

Show HN: Remria – A Cloud Computer OS ↗

Made this for myself where I work from the browser on my phone and laptop without my laptop lid ajar. You get an always-on 4GB CPU VM with 32GB storage that connects to both your existing ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions. Underneath it runs Codex and Claude Code, depending on the model you're using in each chat. You can do everything you usually can on a VM, just through chat or visual file system navigation.

How to assess evidence about Cloud

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
