THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Cloud
This software thread follows cloud through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗138 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Risk-Aware Hierarchical Meta-Reinforcement Learning with Quantile Regression LSTM Framework for Adaptive Task Prioritization and Congestion Avoidance Offloading in Fog–Cloud Systems ↗
Fog–cloud systems allow distributed and latency-sensitive IoT applications to share edge, fog, and cloud resources for efficient computation, storing and delivering services. Nonetheless, the current methods of task scheduling and resource allocation tend to be based on deterministic prediction, heuristic schedules, or response optimization, restricting risk sensitivity and responsiveness to dynamic workloads. To address these issues, we propose a graph network with a reinforcement learning framework to avoid congestion and schedule tasks with a low makespan in fog–IoT systems. The work starts…

A cloud-edge collaborative dual-modal fault detection block for battery packs: Enabling intelligent safety management in electric vehicle battery systems ↗
Intelligent diagnosis of battery pack faults using real-world data has become a key research focus in the era of vehicle-cloud integration. While cloud-based deep learning diagnostics have shown strong capability, edge-based fault diagnosis is increasingly preferred for its real-time responsiveness, lower communication bandwidth demand, and enhanced data privacy. This study aims to address the challenge of simultaneously achieving model light-weighting and high diagnostic accuracy for onboard deployment. To this end, we propose a novel battery-pack fault detection block with dual modeling mode…

Ask HN: Allow agents access to cloud files with least privilege? ↗
Let's say I have a Google spreadsheet on my Drive that I want an agent like Muse to work on. Currently my options are: a) I can allow Muse to access my Drive b) Share the spreadsheet with edit privilege to anyone with link and give that link to Muse. Both of these are not least privilege access that I'm comfortable with. Ideally I should be able to share access to a file with an agent. Other options like webhooks, burner accounts, etc are too ted…

Show HN: LightCloud – A cloud console organised like file system ↗
Hi HN, Light Cloud is a hosting platform where the unit of organisation is a folder. A folder holds everything project needs: frontend, API, database, env variables, preview per branch.

RCMS: a robust cybersecurity metamodel for cloud computing in Saudi Arabia ↗
Abstract Cloud computing underpins Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, making cybersecurity an escalating national concern. Existing security frameworks incorporate relevant measures but lack cloud-specific constructs in identified areas and are not localized to Saudi regulatory requirements. This study has two objectives: to review existing cybersecurity approaches for cloud computing using the PRISMA methodology, appraising their strengths and weaknesses against a stated rubric; and to develop a high-level cybersecurity metamodel for cloud computing in Saudi Arabia, designated RCMS, through a metamo…

A Google search for "Google cloud console" returns a phishing site ↗
Currently, a search for "google cloud console" is returning a convincing-looking phishing site as its second sponsored link. I clicked on it, thinking it was the first main-engine search result (it was the bottom link above-the-fold). It's a webpage hosted as a google site that looks convincingly like the google cloud marketing page. Clicking "Sign In" takes you to a look-alike Google sign-in page with an actual URL of https://accounts.gboogl.com…

AnchorMixGAN: Anchor-Aligned Generative Semi-Supervision for DDoS Detection in Cloud-Integrated IoT Networks ↗
Detecting distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks in cloud-integrated IoT networks is difficult when labeled traffic is scarce. Generative semi-supervised learning can supplement the available training data, but prediction shifts induced by synthetic views may affect the targets assigned to real unlabeled flows. We propose AnchorMixGAN, a generative semi-supervised framework that addresses this problem through anchor-aligned target construction. Its Anchor-MAS module treats each real unlabeled flow as an anchor and creates alternative views by replacing one field group at a time with valu…

How to assess evidence about Cloud
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
