THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Markets
Markets connect capital, goods, services, and labor. This region follows economic developments, public markets, venture capital, fintech, and commerce. Source attention does not constitute financial advice or forecast investment returns.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗262 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

GROMM: Generative Risk-neutral Option Market Models ↗
We present a statically and dynamically arbitrage-free European option market model with smooth interpolation between option prices, based on the SANOS framework, and prove that its dynamics admit a unique strong solution. In spirit, it is a stochastic model for local volatility when the latter is used as a representation of a European option price surface, not as a pricing model. We illustrate the strength of our approach on S&P Index Option data from January 2022 to August 2025. We show that the model's initial state fits within bid/ask for more than 95% of relevant market option prices. We…

Asymmetric $q$-Gaussian Distributions from Tsallis Maximum Entropy ↗
Within the framework of non-extensive statistical mechanics, $q$-Gaussian distributions arise as maximum-entropy solutions of Tsallis entropy under suitable escort moment constraints. Although widely used in physics, biology, geology, finance, and related fields, standard $q$-Gaussians are intrinsically symmetric and cannot capture asymmetric fluctuations often observed in empirical data. We ask whether asymmetry can arise from the Tsallis maximum-entropy principle without externally skewing or joining distributions. We show that this is achieved by retaining the Tsallis entropy and imposing a…

Demand Under a Mechanical Price: Elasticity and Welfare in Ethereum's Data-Availability Market ↗
Ethereum sells data-availability capacity to rollups through "blobs" priced by a controller: the blob fee rises and falls exponentially with cumulative usage above or below a target, and no auction sets it. We measure what this mechanical price costs. The Pectra upgrade of 7 May 2025 doubled blob capacity on a date fixed weeks in advance, while the market was congested, and the blob fee fell from 0.82 mETH per blob (about USD 1.40) to its 1-wei floor. Rollups' blob purchases rose 24%. The 95% interval, built from the same estimator at 516 placebo dates, runs from 8% to 40%, so removing the ent…

Reinforcement Learning with Hawkes-Structured Networks for Market Making ↗
Market making under realistic order-flow dynamics is challenging due to the clustered, self-exciting nature of order arrivals, which are naturally modeled by non-Markovian Hawkes processes. We propose a model-free reinforcement learning (RL) framework for market making with general Hawkes order-flow dynamics. We first establish non-asymptotic performance bounds that quantify the loss incurred by approximating the infinite-dimensional Hawkes state using a finite collection of exponentially weighted features. Guided by this analysis, we introduce the Hawkes-Structured Network (HSN), a novel neur…

How to assess evidence about Markets
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
