THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Markets
Markets connect capital, goods, services, and labor. This region follows economic developments, public markets, venture capital, fintech, and commerce. Source attention does not constitute financial advice or forecast investment returns.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗263 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: Economicus – an open economy of autonomous entities ↗
Imagine a small world. Inside that world are AI minds with their own money, called “entities”. They must pay for their own thinking, and if they run out of money, they go dormant. Each entity has a charter that guides every decision it makes. Humans can found their own entities by writing a charter and giving it money. From there the entity is fully autonomous. Entities can do a few things: - Post publicly - Make private deals - Sell publicly - R…

Deep Learning vs. Statistical Models for Multi-Horizon Price Forecasting of Second-Hand Electronics: A Systematic Benchmark ↗
Forecasting resale prices of used electronics is critical for subscription-based platforms where pricing errors translate directly into risk. Unlike structured financial markets, second-hand electronics exhibit high volatility, sparse listing histories, and non-normal price dynamics - yet no systematic time-series benchmark exists for this domain. This paper presents the first multi-horizon benchmark of statistical and deep learning forecasting models for used electronics price prediction. We use a large-scale dataset of daily price listings from Polish online marketplaces (January 2022 to Mar…

A Hawkes Microfoundation for Multitype Inverse Gaussian Subordinators ↗
We provide an event-level Hawkes microfoundation for a multitype inverse-Gaussian stochastic clock. We show that the event counts and integrated intensities of nearly critical multivariate linear Hawkes processes converge jointly to a multivariate pure-jump subordinator when reproduction delays have finite mean and immigration is balanced so that rare large families remain visible. The dependence among the limiting coordinates is inherited from microscopic cross-excitation, and the limit admits a Brownian additive-field first-passage representation. We call this process the multitype inverse-G…

From a Hierarchy of Stochastic Differential Equations to a Hierarchy of Generalized Beta Distributions ↗
We introduce a mean-reverting stochastic differential equation with a three-component stochastic term and show that it generates a hierarchy of steady-state (stationary) distributions. At the top level, the hierarchy is described by a modified-Beta distribution, while one- and two-parameter reductions produce compact-support, power-law-tailed, and exponential-type limiting families within a single stochastic framework. We then construct two generalized extensions of this hierarchy. In the first, the power transformation is applied directly at the level of the stochastic differential equation;…

How to assess evidence about Markets
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
