THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Markets

Markets connect capital, goods, services, and labor. This region follows economic developments, public markets, venture capital, fintech, and commerce. Source attention does not constitute financial advice or forecast investment returns.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

249 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: rising. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Energy trade across Africa and Europe: Long-term national investment and infrastructure pathways for electricity and natural gas ↗

The global energy transition is advancing under the Paris Agreement, yet progress remains fragmented across regions. Africa’s growing energy markets and abundant renewable resources, combined with Europe’s technological and financial capacity, create opportunities for closer energy cooperation. This study develops an open-source cost-optimisation model using the OSeMOSYS framework, covering forty-eight African and thirty European countries. It assesses the long-term costs and emissions impacts of electricity and natural gas trade across six scenarios, combining three levels of cross-border tra…

Say, Echo, Do: Strategic Narratives and Revealed Positioning in Financial Markets ↗

Machine-learning signals built from financial text treat what institutions say, and what the media repeat, as evidence about value. But whoever shapes a narrative may be trading against it. We study markets with three observable voices: institutional statements (Say), media repetition (Echo) and revealed positioning (Do). We ask when words should be followed and when they should be faded. In a linear-quadratic model of an informed institution that speaks and trades before a partly credulous crowd, talking an asset down while buying it is optimal exactly when $\varphi^2<2λk<\varphi$. A distribu…

Not All LPs Are Equal: The Active-Passive Gap in Automated Market Maker Liquidity Provision ↗

Liquidity provision in automated market makers is typically analyzed at the pool level, implicitly assuming LP homogeneity. This aggregate view can hide how liquidity provision outcomes differ between LP strategies, particularly as concentrated liquidity AMM designs operating on high-performance blockchains allow liquidity to be actively repositioned around trades. We develop a markout-based framework to decompose Uniswap LP profitability into active and passive components using two complementary methods: a LIFO subtraction method that matches short-lived mint-burn positions and attributes swa…

From Intraday Orderbook to Imbalance Price: Understanding Cross-Market Interaction ↗

Power systems with increasing variable renewable generation face greater uncertainty in scheduling and balancing. Intraday and balancing electricity markets facilitate position adjustments and real-time balancing close to delivery. As delivery approaches, continuous intraday market participants exposed to imbalance settlement adjust their positions by trading additional volumes to reduce their imbalance exposure. We conjecture that positions remaining open after intraday trading, together with demand and supply uncertainties affecting physical market participants, influence price formation in…

A Generalized Langevin Model of Latent Liquidity and Concave Price Impact ↗

We model market impact as the response to submitted order flow net of counterflow from latent traders, activated when price displacements from the level that would prevail without the order exceed individual thresholds. Order flow depletes this pool, and a generalized Langevin equation governs its recovery over several time scales. Its memory kernels are finite sums of exponentials, so its Markovian lift is exact rather than an approximation. For an undepleted pool, aggregation under explicit assumptions on individual trading responses yields an intermediate square-root regime between linear s…

Information Games: Strategic Crowding and Firm Repositioning in Language-Model Space ↗

Firms follow changing economic opportunities, but rivalry changes their response. We develop ESCAPE, a rational-share game of distribution-valued positioning with heterogeneous capability costs, establish a unique equilibrium, and derive an exact reallocation restriction separating opportunity and crowding contributions. Competition need not push firms apart: rational firms can enter increasingly crowded regions, because the full reallocation gain can be positive even when its crowding component is negative. Rivalry instead changes how differently firms respond to the same opportunity shift. I…

Dyson-Schwinger Effective-Action Methods for Rough Volatility: A Correlation-Response Architecture for Calibration, Exotics and Risk ↗

We develop a non-perturbative framework for stochastic-volatility option pricing organised by the two-particle-irreducible (2PI) effective action and the Dyson-Schwinger gap equations of quantum field theory. In log-price, log-volatility or Lamperti coordinates, the joint law of the state variables is approximated by a self-consistent Gaussian whose mean and effective diffusion follow from the 2PI stationarity conditions, with the drift Jacobian given by statistical linearisation. The smile-generating exponential and CEV interactions are evaluated through the exact Gaussian moment-generating f…

How to assess evidence about Markets

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
