Earlier sources: Energy

Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

718 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Pinning of a High-Energy Wavepacket by a Single Impurity ↗

We demonstrate that a single repulsive impurity enhances directional confinement of a high-energy wavepacket in a finite two-dimensional lattice of quantum wells. At energies far above the interwell barriers, the impurity suppresses transverse dynamical tunneling while preserving propagation along a principal lattice axis, even as the corresponding classical regular region shrinks. Confinement is strongest at impurity amplitudes comparable to the barrier height and weakens for stronger perturbations. Spectral analysis links this nonmonotonic pinning to the wavepacket's overlap with eigenstates…

Radical‐Mediated Surface Reconstruction of SnO 2 Nanocrystals Enables Efficient and Durable Perovskite Solar Cells and Modules ↗

ABSTRACT Charge‐transport layers fundamentally dictate interfacial recombination, carrier extraction, and operational stability in perovskite solar cells (PSCs), yet scalable routes to simultaneously regulate their colloidal stability and defect chemistry remain elusive. Here, we report a radical‐mediated surface reconstruction strategy for ligand‐free SnO 2 nanocrystals that enables concurrent gains in device efficiency, scalability, and durability. Sonochemical activation generates hydroxyl radicals that selectively passivate oxygen‐deficient Sn sites while inducing electrostatically stabili…

Smart Energy Management of Hybrid EV–Hydrogen Stations Through LSTM Forecasting and Model Predictive Control ↗

The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen-powered vehicles requires integrated energy infrastructures capable of simultaneously addressing electricity and hydrogen demands while accommodating the variability of renewable energy sources. This study evaluates the operational performance of a renewable-powered hybrid EV charging and hydrogen refueling station through predictive energy management. The station integrates photovoltaic and wind generation, grid connection, an electrolyzer, hydrogen storage, and vehicle charging/refueling infrastructure. A Long Short-Term Memory…

Passive Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Strategies for Substation Buildings in Cold Regions: A Case Study of Shijiazhuang ↗

Cold region indoor substations experience persistent high thermal disturbance from electrical equipment, limiting the direct applicability of conventional residential low-carbon strategies. This study couples hourly DeST simulation with partial life-cycle carbon accounting covering A1–A5, B6, C1–C4, Module D, and the greening carbon sink for an operational 110 kV indoor substation in Shijiazhuang. The baseline annual average emission is 59.8 tCO2/year, comprising 21.3 tCO2/year from B6 operational energy and 38.4 tCO2/year from non-B6 contributions. Reducing the roof heat transfer coefficient…

Managing Non-radiative Losses via Energy Alignment and Defect Passivation Using Dual-Functionality Hole-Transporting Materials in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells ↗

Abstract Interfaces significantly influence both the power conversion efficiency and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Small-molecule hole-transporting materials (HTMs) are particularly attractive due to their structural tunability, advantageous electronic properties, and thermal stability, all of which contribute to enhanced device durability. This study reports the rational design of asymmetric small-molecule HTMs featuring donor-acceptor-donor (DKO) and donor-acceptor-acceptor (DKCN) architectures. The study examines defect passivation by central Lewis-base functionaliti…

Energy Decay Rate for a Porous-Elastic System with Fractional Infinite Memory ↗

In this paper, we study the energy decay rate for a porous-elastic system with fractional infinite memory, which acts on the material displacement equation. Using the frequency domain method, we show that the energy decay rate of the system depends on the order θ of the fractional operator and the wave speeds μρ and δJ, where θ∈[0,1]. Specifically, the energy of the system decays exponentially when θ=1 and μρ=δJ. The energy of the system decays polynomially when θ∈[0,1) and μρ=δJ or θ∈[0,1] and μρ≠δJ. In addition, we also show that the polynomial decay rates obtained are optimal in some sense.

Physics-data fusion multi-modal deep learning for spindle current prediction in digital twin-driven machining state perception ↗

Accurate perception of machining states is essential for intelligent Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems, yet modeling key process variables remains challenging due to the nonlinear and multi-modal nature of cutting processes. Empirical models lack adaptability, while purely data-driven methods often neglect physical constraints. Direct measurement of cutting force is challenging in practice, as complex workpiece geometries, limited ranges of detection instruments, and high deployment costs make large-scale force data acquisition difficult. Therefore, spindle current is adopted as a more…

How to assess evidence about Energy

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
