Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗739 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Exploring Spherically Symmetric Static Spacetimes Through Ricci Almost Solitons: Energy Conditions and Matter Profiles ↗
We investigate Ricci almost solitons (RASs) associated with four-dimensional spherically symmetric static spacetimes. Starting from the general static spherically symmetric metric, the Ricci almost soliton equation is reduced to an overdetermined system of differential equations for the metric functions, the RAS vector field, and the almost soliton factor. By imposing suitable conditions on the resulting differential constraints, several explicit families of non-Einstein metrics admitting RAS structures are obtained. The corresponding RAS vector fields have dimensions ranging from four to fift…

Radiological characterization for research reactor decommissioning: Application of lessons learned from the VVR-S reactor to the WWR-M facility ↗
Radiological characterization is a key element of the decommissioning of any nuclear facility, providing the information required for dismantling planning, radiation protection, radioactive waste management, and final site release. This paper presents a characterization strategy developed for the decommissioning of the WWR-M research reactor in Ukraine, integrating historical records, radiological surveys, in situ measurements, laboratory analyses, activation assessments, and radionuclide inventory determination. The proposed approach covers three main stages of decommissioning: dismantling, r…

Biochar-based carbon nanomaterials: precursor variability and structure-property heterogeneity for energy-environmental applications ↗
Abstract Biomass-derived carbon nanomaterials offer potential renewable alternatives to fossil-based carbon materials. It is, however, difficult to predict their performance since biomass composition, inorganic constituents, moisture, particle characteristics, and processing conditions all have strong influences on carbonization and structural evolution. The purpose of this review is to critically examine how precursor properties, carbonization/activation strategies, pore architecture, graphitic domains, defects, surface functionalities, and heteroatom configurations collectively affect the pe…

FDMSNet: A frequency-decomposed multi-scale hybrid framework for renewable energy power forecasting ↗
Accurate renewable energy power forecasting is of great significance for the safe operation, dispatch optimization, and efficient management of modern power systems. However, wind and photovoltaic power generation series usually exhibit significant non-stationarity, volatility, and multi-scale variation characteristics, posing great challenges to medium- and long-term forecasting. To address these issues, this paper proposes FDMSNet, a frequency-decomposed multi-scale hybrid network for renewable energy power forecasting. The model first divides the input sequence into non-stationary and stati…

Artificial intelligence for geothermal energy systems: a systematic evidence map of validation, transferability and deployment readiness ↗
Global installed geothermal power capacity is approximately 18 GWe, and geothermal plants generally provide dispatchable electricity at high capacity factors. Expansion depends on reducing the capital costs and operational risks of reservoir management, plant control and equipment maintenance, and artificial intelligence has been applied to all three. Whether that work has produced evidence sufficient for deployment has not been assessed at the level of individual studies. This review reports a PRISMA-guided systematic evidence map. Searches of Scopus and Web of Science returned 8,113 records;…

Low stacking fault energy governs deformation mechanisms in the γ matrix of Co-based superalloys ↗
Understanding plastic deformation mechanisms in the γ matrix is essential for the development of next-generation Co-based superalloys. Since magnetic transitions in Co-based matrices can occur within service temperature ranges, stacking fault energies (SFEs) must be evaluated with explicit consideration of magnetic state effects. In this work, SFEs of pure Co and Co-rich alloys are calculated to quantify their compositional and temperature dependences in both ferromagnetic (FM) and paramagnetic (PM) states. The predicted values show good agreement with available experimental and theoretical da…

Correlation between wind–wave–current loads and dynamic structural responses of a novel floating-tube photovoltaic array ↗
With the increasing deployment of offshore floating photovoltaic (FPV) systems in complex marine environments, understanding their aerodynamic and hydrodynamic characteristics under combined wind–wave–current conditions has become important for structural design and reliability assessment. In this study, a full-scale 5 × 5 modular floating-tube-type FPV array was established using a two-way coupled CFD–MBD (Computational Fluid Dynamics and Multi-Body Dynamics) method with an overset mesh technique. Two co-directional wind–wave–current conditions with different inflow directions (0° and 180°) w…

Post‐Deposition Photonic Curing Treatment for Improved Sb 2 Se 3 Photovoltaic Performance ↗
ABSTRACT The open circuit voltage (V OC ) deficit remains the major barrier to achieving high‐efficiency antimony selenide (Sb 2 Se 3 ) thin‐film solar cells, arising largely from non‐radiative recombination at bulk and interfacial defects. While considerable progress has been achieved through front‐interface engineering, scalable post‐deposition strategies for optimising the critical Sb 2 Se 3 back surface remain limited. Here, photonic curing (PC) is employed as a rapid millisecond‐scale processing technique for rear‐interface engineering in Sb 2 Se 3 photovoltaics. PC enhances the preferent…

Secure signal encoding and temporal feature extraction for multi class intrusion detection in smart grid environments ↗
To ensure the reliability, security and operational stability of smart grid environments, real-time monitoring of electrical data is necessary. It is especially crucial that proper anomaly detection becomes the key to detecting malicious events, preventing disruption of the service, and supporting secure energy transmission. Nonetheless, traditional intrusion detection systems are typically not able to represent long-range temporal relationships, signal variations arising behind secured communication links, and attack-specific relationships, which can result in slow or inaccurate detection. To…

Interfacial characteristics of Cu tube-embedded hybrid structures fabricated by directed energy deposition ↗
Cu tube-embedded cooling channels have been considered a promising approach for mold applications because they can provide smoother internal surfaces than fully additively manufactured channels. Nevertheless, their practical application is limited by the difficulty of achieving stable bonding between the embedded Cu tube and H13 during directed energy deposition (DED), owing to the large thermal and metallurgical mismatch between the two materials. In this study, the effect of buffer layers on the interfacial stability of Cu tube-embedded H13 hybrid structures was investigated. Direct depositi…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
