Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗716 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Digital-Twin Attention-Augmented Adaptive Model Predictive Control for Degradation-Aware Residential Battery Energy Management ↗
Residential battery energy management systems increasingly rely on model predictive control (MPC), yet most schemes assume a fixed horizon, a noise-free state and an uncalibrated forecaster. This paper proposes DT-AAMPC, an adaptive MPC that combines a Kalman-filtered battery digital twin with an attention-BiLSTM forecaster (TAB-Net) whose attention entropy yields a confidence signal that adapts the controller’s horizon, uncertainty penalty, and state-of-charge back-off online. We evaluate it using corrected code executed on the real dataset at a reduced but realistic validation scale (three s…

Rooftop photovoltaic potential in data-scarce regions using open-source geospatial information: Scenario-based approach for a Mediterranean coastal city ↗
Rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems can support urban decarbonization, yet data scarcity limits city-scale assessments in developing regions. This study develops an open-source 2D GIS workflow for five central districts of Antalya, Turkiye, using Overture Maps building footprints. A three-stage procedure combined spatial and size filters, geometry and land-use screening, and targeted image inspection to retain the continuous urban building stock while excluding rural settlements, greenhouses, and structures smaller than 60 m 2 . Planimetric agreement was evaluated against 60 manually delineated…

A nuclear receptor PcHR96h regulates ABC transporters involved in spirodiclofen resistance in Panonychus citri ↗
Transcription factors are known to regulate detoxification gene expression and contribute to resistance to insecticides and acaricides in arthropods. Our previous study revealed that the nuclear hormone receptor PcHR96h is associated with spirodiclofen resistance in Panonychus citri, but its regulatory mechanism remains unclear. Here, we used DAP-seq to identify genome-wide targets of PcHR96h and found that ABC transporter genes were significantly enriched. Dual-luciferase, yeast one-hybrid, and EMSA assays verified that PcHR96h directly binds to the promoters of PcABCA2 and PcABCB2. Functiona…

Anthropomorphic phantom dosimetry and validation of 150–200 MeV very high-energy electron radiotherapy at CERN ↗
Abstract Treatment-planning studies indicate potential dosimetric advantages of very high-energy electron (VHEE) radiotherapy for deep-seated tumours, but the dose models on which these studies rely have few experimental benchmarks above 100 MeV. Here, we report radiochromic film dosimetry of 150 and 200 MeV beams at CERN’s CLEAR facility and validate a Geant4-based GATE Monte Carlo (MC) framework. In air and water, simulations reproduced scattered-beam spot-size and percentage depth-dose trends at both energies; at 200 MeV, agreement between simulations and measurements was generally within ±…

Calendering‐Dependent Electrochemical and Cost‐Energy Tradeoffs in Layered – Olivine Blend Cathodes ↗
ABSTRACT Blended cathodes comprised of layered oxide and olivine materials, such as LiNi 0.9 Mn 0.05 Co 0.05 O 2 (NMC) and LiMn 0.7 Fe 0.3 PO 4 (LMFP), are appealing due to their reduced cost and enhanced safety, rate capability, and cyclability compared to high‐Ni layered oxides. However, while these blends are often discussed in terms of particle‐level properties, the effect of processing conditions, such as calendering, has received less attention, despite their strong influence on electrode microstructure due to the differences in morphology, surface characteristics, and crystallographic d…

Screen‐Printed Electrically Isolated Buried Contacts for Metal‐Halide Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cells: Proof of Concept Devices and Electrical Loss Simulations Highlighting Large‐Scale Potential ↗
Processes for applying front metallization to metal‐halide‐perovskite (MHP)/Si tandem solar cells must carefully account for the intrinsic stability challenges of MHPs—particularly their susceptibility to thermal degradation. The paper presents a proof‐of‐concept for a novel interconnection design for MHP/Si tandem solar cells, named electrically isolated buried contacts (EIBC). This innovative approach involves screen‐printing contacts onto a screen‐printed isolating solder resist layer on the Si bottom solar cell before the MHP top solar cell is fabricated. This method allows the contacts to…

Synergistic enhancement of triplex-tube thermal storage performance using PCM radial cascade and fins ↗
Ten 3D models are created to examine the impacts of PCM radial cascade and adding fins to improve the heat storage capacity of horizontal triplex-tube storage systems. The thermal storage performance is assessed by calculating key indicators such as heat storage time, heat storage capacity, liquid fraction, average melting enhancement ratio during the thermal storage process. In comparison to the single-PCM triplex-tube (Case 0), the results show that the PCM radial cascaded triple tube structure (Case 1) has respectively increased the stored energy, heat storage rate by 19.3%, 19.4%, and shor…

Synergistic defect passivation and crystallization control via bifunctional ethylenethiourea additive in CsPbIBr2 perovskite solar cells ↗
All-inorganic CsPbIBr 2 perovskite is a promising light-harvesting material due to its greater thermal stability compared to organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites. However, low film quality, high defect density, and poor crystallization hinder charge transport and cause non-radiative recombination in CsPbIBr 2 -based perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this work, ethylenethiourea (ETU), a bifunctional Lewis-base S–donor additive, was introduced to synergistically regulate crystallization kinetics and passivate uncoordinated Pb 2+ defects in CsPbIBr 2 films. The optimized carbon-based PSC incorpor…

Collaborative optimization of electricity, computation, and thermal resources in data centers: Progress, challenges, and future directions ↗
Data centers increasingly rely on coordinated operation across power, computation, and thermal management resources, but existing studies differ substantially in the resources coordinated, decision methods adopted, and evidence supporting their conclusions. This literature review synthesizes 311 unique studies spanning power–computation, power–thermal, computation–thermal, and power–computation–thermal coordination. The literature remains concentrated in pairwise coordination, particularly power–computation, while broader integration across all three domains has received growing but comparativ…

Energy Analysis of an ICE and Electrolyzer-Based Poly-Generative System with Renewable Energy Storage Supporting Green Mobility and Building Loads ↗
This study evaluates a poly-generative (PG) system integrating a biomass-fed ICE co-generator, a photovoltaic (PV) system, and a PEM electrolyzer. Located in Rende, Italy (Lat. 39.3° N), the system is designed to reduce grid dependence by supplying electric energy for EV charging, hydrogen for FCHEV refueling, and thermal energy for building loads. The present work extends the energy assessment to four representative seasonal days, two mobility-demand scenarios, part-load ICE operation, and a Vehicle-to-Grid strategy to manage PV surplus and support fixed-load hydrogen production. This integra…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
