Earlier sources: Energy

Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

687 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Electrolytes in electrochemistry and energy storage ↗

Abstract Since Arrhenius formalized the theory of electrolytic dissociation, the electrolyte has generally been treated as a settled concept: a salt dissociating into freely moving ions within a solvent [Arrhenius S. 1887 Z. Phys. Chem. 1U, 631–648. (doi:10.1515/zpch-1887-0164)]. Over the past two decades, this picture has evolved by the emergence of water-in-salt electrolytes, room-temperature ionic liquids, porous liquids and solid-state or composite electrolytes, each of which departs from the classical definition in a different way and each of which exhibits solvation structures and transp…

Microstructure, thermal conductivity and mechanical anisotropy of DURACON 45M fabricated by laser-wire directed energy deposition ↗

Abstract High-thermal-conductivity tool materials are critical for reducing cooling-limited cycle times in polymer processing. Microstructure, mechanical anisotropy and thermal conductivity of the Fe–Co–Ni alloy DURACON 45M fabricated by laser-wire directed energy deposition (LW-DED) are investigated. The as-built material exhibits near-full density and a direction-dependent microstructure. EBSD analysis showed a refined grain structure with grain sizes predominantly below 10 µm in the X direction, while the Z direction contained coarser grains elongated along the thermal gradient. In comparis…

Engineering efficient RbGeCl3 perovskite solar cells: A simulation-driven computational approach to performance optimization ↗

The development of lead-free perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is critical for advancing environmentally sustainable photovoltaic technologies. This study systematically evaluates the photovoltaic potential of RbGeCl 3 as a lead-free absorber using SCAPS-1D simulations. Unlike studies, this work goes beyond limited configurations or single-layer studies by delivering multi-parameter optimization and comparative ETL engineering of RbGeCl 3 PSCs for high-performance lead-free devices. An initial screening of 48 device configurations with varied electron transport layers (ETLs) and hole transport lay…

Multi-agent deep reinforcement learning for resilient recovery of electric–gas coupled energy systems under extreme disasters ↗

Under extreme disasters, there are still significant gaps in the cascading failure propagation and collaborative recovery decision-making of electric-gas coupled integrated energy systems, making it difficult to form effective dynamic recovery paths under high uncertainty conditions. This paper constructs a Markov decision process environment under disaster conditions, setting multi-dimensional state variables including node fault states, pressure and voltage distribution, and recovery resource constraints. It employs Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning (MA-DRL) combined with a centralized…

Data‐Driven Harmonic Measurement, Reliability Enhancement, and Adaptive Power Flow Optimization for Renewable Energy Integrated Smart Microgrids ↗

ABSTRACT The increasing penetration of renewable energy sources in smart microgrids introduces significant challenges related to power quality degradation, harmonic distortion, operational uncertainty, and system reliability. Conventional centralized control approaches often suffer from communication bottlenecks, limited scalability, and reduced adaptability under dynamic operating conditions. This study presents a data‐driven intelligent framework for harmonic measurement, reliability enhancement, and adaptive power flow optimization in renewable energy‐integrated smart microgrids. The propos…

An attention guided local global feature fusion network for robust point cloud registration ↗

Abstract Point cloud registration in complex environments remains challenging because measurement noise, partial overlap, and structural variations can reduce correspondence reliability and registration robustness, while computational efficiency is also critical for practical deployment. These difficulties are closely related to insufficient adaptive modeling of local geometric structures, inadequate suppression of weak global graph connections, and limited exploitation of inter-cloud similarity and discrepancy information. To address these issues, we propose AGLGNet, an attention guided local…

Exergoeconomic Analysis of Power Plants: Impact of Exergy Destruction Due to Entropy Generation on Unit Cost of Electricity ↗

Various exergy-based exergoeconomic methods have been developed to evaluate the production cost of electricity in power systems. One of the unresolved issues in the field of exergoeconomics is that different exergoeconomic analysis methods can yield different unit costs of power production. In this study, the unit cost of electricity generation is comprehensively analyzed using three representative approaches: the Moran method, the specific exergy costing (SPECO) method, and the Modified Productive Structure Analysis (MOPSA) method. The objective of this study is to identify a condition under…

Massively Multiplexed Photonic Chip With Cross‐Channel Fusion For Harmonized Biosensing ↗

ABSTRACT Accurate, label‐free analysis of complex biological mixtures is limited by poor multiplexing scalability and inconsistent responses across sensor samples. We introduce a transformative sensing platform that integrates large‐scale photonic multiplexing with data‐driven analytics to overcome these constraints. Our modular, affordable glass‐chip whispering–gallery–mode (WGM) photonic architecture is designed to support simultaneous readout of up to 100 sensing channels comprising over 10 000 high‐Q microresonators, exceeding existing multiplexing capabilities by more than two orders of m…

Phosphor‐Sensitized Ternary Organic Solar Cells Achieving 18.6% PCE via Ir(III)‐Mediated Triplet Energy Transfer and Non‐Radiative Recombination Suppression ↗

ABSTRACT Phosphor‐sensitized organic solar cells (PS‐OSCs) enhance exciton utilization and suppress non‐radiative recombination by incorporating triplet‐enabled sensitizers into bulk‐heterojunction blends. Here, we report a green‐emitting Ir‐3 complex as a multifunctional phosphor‐sensitizer in ternary OSCs based on PM6, two newly designed pyrazine‐derived donor polymers, PBDT‐Pyz (N1) and PBDT‐T‐Pyz (N2), and the non‐fullerene acceptor L8‐BO. N1 and N2 exhibit deep HOMO levels (−5.59/−3.63 eV and −5.58/−3.60 eV) and planar backbones for efficient charge transport, while Ir‐3 (E g opt = 2.50 e…

Coal-Body Structural Evolution, Multiscale Pore-System Reorganization, and Methane Storage-Transport Characteristics Across a Tectonic Deformation Gradient ↗

Tectonic deformation can reorganize adsorption-related pores, matrix pore space, and pore-throat-fracture networks, but how these functional domains jointly govern fluid mobility and permeability stability under stress remains unclear where deformation intensity and coal rank covary. We investigated the B4 coal seam along the Qujiang-Shangzhuang-Yuancun transect in the western Pingxiang-Leping Depression Belt using a combination of field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), low-pressure CO2 adsorption, low-temperature N2 adsorption, mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), nuclear magne…

How to assess evidence about Energy

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
