THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Energy

Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

721 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: rising. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Burnup-dependent nuclear safeguards and security assessment of HALEU-Fueled sodium-cooled fast reactors ↗

This study presents a burnup- and cooling-time-dependent assessment of safeguards- and security-relevant characteristics of spent fuel from high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU)-fueled sodium-cooled fast reactors (SFRs). A physics-based framework is adopted to evaluate spent fuel in terms of three functions: material attractiveness, self-protection, and monitorability. Within this framework, decay heat, photon emission rate, spontaneous fission rate, and external dose rate are treated as key spent-fuel attributes that collectively determine safeguards and security functions. Burnup-dependent…

Partially replacing DMF with eco-friendly solvents in the fabrication of Sb2S3 photoactive layers for solar cells ↗

Antimony sulfide (Sb 2 S 3 ) is an inorganic compound consisting entirely of earth-abundant elements of low toxicity, low cost, and remarkable chemical and thermal stability, making it promising for next-generation photovoltaic technology, supercapacitors, photodetectors and thermoelectric devices. When employing homogeneous molecular ink-based processes, the choice of solvent is critical to ensure good precursor solubility and promote the formation of smooth and uniform films, which are key factors for improving efficiency in optoelectronic devices. Dimethylformamide (DMF) is the most utilize…

Characteristics of Energy Dissipation Rate at the Standard Weather Observatory Under Various Atmospheric Conditions and Its Application to Aviation Turbulence Intensity ↗

Abstract Accurate prediction of low‐level turbulence (LLT) is critical for aviation safety, particularly for the emerging urban air mobility industry and aircraft takeoffs and landings. To better understand and predict these hazards, the characteristics of the energy dissipation rate (EDR) in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) were investigated using 8‐year high‐frequency sonic anemometer observations collected at multiple altitudes of the 307‐m meteorological tower in the Boseong Standard Weather Observatory (BSWO), South Korea. EDR was estimated using the inertial dissipation technique wit…

Facile fabrication and photovoltaic performance of lead-free Na2AgBiBr6 double perovskite photovoltaic cells ↗

As next-generation photovoltaic devices, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have captured a lot of focus because of their configurable optoelectronic characteristics, affordable solution processing costs and excellent power conversion efficiency. Novel, reasonable and ecologically conscious absorber materials are still necessary, as are simple and repetitive methods for creating devices, despite the field’s tremendous advancement. Na 2 AgBiBr 6 has been theoretically predicted as a promising lead-free light-absorbing material with favourable electronic and optical properties. However, to the best o…

Acceleration response reconstruction of a television tower via deep learning with multi-scale feature fusion ↗

Accurate reconstruction of structural response signals in structural health monitoring (SHM) remains challenging under complex operating conditions involving communication interruptions, sensor malfunctions, and environmental variability. To overcome these challenges, this study proposes a multi-scale temporal feature fusion method for multi-source SHM data in complex engineering environments. First, the proposed method employs a dilated temporal convolutional network (TCN) as a front-end feature extractor to capture multi-scale temporal dependencies in the historical environmental-variable se…

A mathematical model for optimizing containerized deployment in energy-efficient virtualized data centers: SAP HANA datacenter simulation ↗

Abstract This study addresses the challenge of efficient resource management in data centers through pod and virtual machine (VM) migration. The objective is to prevent resource shortages while improving power efficiency in cloud environments. To this end, we formulate a multi-objective mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model for optimizing pod and VM replacement and complement it with a specialized algorithm that dynamically migrates pods and VMs from overutilized to underutilized hosts. Simulation results show that the proposed approach reduces estimated server-power consumption and im…

Dynamic structural operational safety assessment and decision support for concrete arch dams via multi-source monitoring data fusion and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning ↗

Structural operational safety assessment of high concrete arch dams remains challenging because the importance of monitoring indicators varies with operating conditions, while the evaluation process is affected by multiple sources of uncertainty. To address these issues, this study develops a dynamic data-driven evaluation framework for structural operational safety assessment. Initially, a hierarchical indicator system and a refined grading scheme are established using multi-source structural response sequences. An adaptive weighting mechanism is then developed by coupling the cross-correlati…

How to assess evidence about Energy

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
