THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗732 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Higgsino dark matter compatible with the LUX-ZEPLIN high-energy nuclear-recoil event and IceCube constraints ↗
We examine Higgsino dark matter (DM) as a potential explanation of the $248~\mathrm{keV}$ nuclear-recoil event of interest reported by the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment, taking into account IceCube constraints on DM annihilation in the Sun. In the nearly pure Higgsino limit, two neutral Majorana states separated by a small mass splitting $δ$ are connected by an off-diagonal coupling to the $Z$ boson, providing a natural realization of inelastic DM. Using a likelihood analysis, we identify 90\% confidence regions compatible with the LZ event and consistent with the null results of IceCube searches…

Quantifying Ethereum Energy Consumption via Network Mapping ↗
Ethereum's electricity use fell by about 99.95% after the move from proof of work to proof of stake. Service providers still need to report operational energy use, e.g. under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). Existing estimates either apply one typical wattage to every node or start from aggregated monitoring counts. Both ignore attributes that nodes already advertise on the peer-to-peer network: client software, ARM or x86 hardware, hosting location, and validator role. We crawl the consensus and execution layers, assign each peer a wattage from those attributes using publis…

Architecture-Dependent Fusion Pathways in MLLMs ↗
Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) achieve strong performance across vision-language tasks, yet the internal mechanisms by which visual and textual information are fused across layers remain insufficiently understood. We investigate representative MLLMs from two architectural paradigms: concatenation architectures and native multimodal architectures. We conduct three progressively connected analyses: alignment decoupling identifies which modality changes, attention routing and entropy characterize how cross-modal information is distributed, and intrinsic dimensionality examines how fusio…

Consecutive Posterior Fusion for Diffusive Recovery of Unobservable Image Structures ↗
Solving severely ill-posed imaging inverse problems requires recovering image structures that are unobservable or weakly constrained by the measurements. Diffusion models provide expressive learned priors for inferring such missing information, while posterior sampling incorporates measurement consistency along the reverse process. Standard diffusion posterior samplers, however, rely on instantaneous measurement-aware estimates, without explicitly exploiting information carried by previous posterior corrections. We introduce Consecutive Posterior Fusion Denoising Diffusion Null-Space Models (C…

Reaction‐Time pH Stabilization by Poly(acrylic acid) with Ethanol‐Mediated Growth Control for Efficient Hydrothermal Sb 2 (S,Se) 3 Solar Cells ↗
ABSTRACT Hydrothermal Sb 2 (S,Se) 3 deposition proceeds through the time‐dependent release of Sb species, chalcogenide precipitation, and changes in proton balance, making solution pH a dynamic variable rather than a fixed initial condition. Here, a carboxylate buffering strategy that operates throughout the hydrothermal reaction is introduced to reduce voltage loss. The central design rule is that the buffer must operate within the actual pH trajectory of the solution during growth. Poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) satisfies this requirement through its COOH/COO − equilibrium and suppresses reaction‐…

Climate change and the weather-energy Nexus in US energy demand ↗
This study examines the long-run and short-run elasticities of U.S. residential and commercial final energy consumption with respect to historical variations in heating and cooling degree days and compares these weather sensitivities across sectors. It also investigates whether joint exposure to heating and cooling conditions has an additive or attenuating effect on annual energy consumption. Using annual U.S. data from 1960 to 2025, we employ a Fourier-augmented bootstrap autoregressive distributed lag (Fourier ARDL) framework to estimate weather–energy relationships while accommodating smoot…

Low-Velocity Impact Response of Biaxial Glass-Fiber Fabric Composites: Influence of Fabric Layer Number Under Progressively Increasing Impact Energy ↗
Glass-fiber-reinforced polymer composites are of interest for lightweight structural applications, including marine structures, where accidental low-velocity impact is an important design consideration. This study investigates the low-velocity impact response of polyester-matrix composites reinforced with 4 layers, 6 layers, and 8 layers of biaxial glass fabric. A progressive test program, designed according to the number of fabric layers, used increasing impact-energy levels to cover both an indentation-dominated non-perforating regime and complete perforation, with the transition toward comp…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
