Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗696 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

A carbonate/H2O2 surrogate for representing thermal runaway and state-of-charge effects in lithium-ion battery fires ↗
For fire hazard assessment of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the autoignition of carbonate/H 2 O 2 mixtures in a transient constant-volume reactor was numerically simulated to investigate their potential as simplified reactive surrogates for selected LIB fire characteristics. The effects of replacing air with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidizer on the ignition behavior of carbonate fuels, the autoignition and rapid self-heating behavior of the carbonate/H 2 O 2 surrogate at elevated initial temperatures, and the feasibility of phenomenologically representing state-of-charge (SOC)-dependent therma…

Elevated substrate preheating tailors microstructural evolution and enhances fatigue resistance in laser powder bed fusion H13 tool steel ↗
Fatigue performance remains a key limitation for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) tool steels due to the strong coupling between process-induced defects and microstructural heterogeneity. Elevated substrate preheating has been proposed as an effective strategy to improve the processability of hard-to-print alloys; however, its combined influence on defect characteristics, microstructure, and fatigue cracking behavior remains insufficiently understood. In this study, the fatigue behavior of LPBF-fabricated H13 tool steel was investigated by increasing the substrate preheating temperature from 200…

Reconstructing gamma-ray burst energy relations with observational H(z) data in a neural network framework ↗
Abstract Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) offer a powerful probe of the cosmic expansion history far beyond the redshift range accessible to Type Ia supernovae. However, the study of cosmological models using GRBs is hindered by the circularity problem, which arises from assuming a fiducial cosmological model during GRB luminosity distance calibration. In this work, we perform a model-independent calibration of GRB luminosity relations using observational measurements of the Hubble parameter from the A220 and J220 compilations, thereby avoiding explicit cosmological assumptions. We employ an artificial…

Reliability-Gated Fusion of Consumer Head and Foot IMUs for Lower-Body 3D Pose ↗
Sparse inertial pose estimation promises camera-free motion capture from consumer devices, but consumer sensors are unreliable: firmware-fused orientations are biased, mounting varies between sessions, and streams drift or drop out. On a new 35-take single-subject benchmark pairing an earbud head inertial measurement unit (IMU) with two smart-insole foot IMUs (SAM-3D-Body pseudo-ground-truth labels), we show the reliability problem is channel-level: a channel ablation isolates foot acceleration as the most informative input (66.6 mm vs. 79.0 mm head-only) and the firmware-fused foot orientatio…

LQR-ArUco Fusion: Robust Hierarchical Control for Navigation and Asymmetric Manipulation in Two-Wheeled Robots ↗
We propose a hierarchical control framework to address severe dynamic instabilities and navigational drift that arise when a two-wheeled inverted pendulum (TWIP) robot attempts asymmetric object manipulation. While two-wheeled platforms are highly manoeuvrable, their constant balancing adjustments make onboard odometry highly unreliable for precise navigation. Furthermore, the addition of a side-mounted robotic arm introduces unactuated lateral roll moments when a payload is lifted, a challenge heavily compounded on uneven terrain. To solve these coupled problems, our architecture divides the…

Optimal performance in a chaotic Floquet quantum battery ↗
We study a quantum battery consisting of $N$ qubits interacting uniformly with each other. Starting from its ground state, the battery is charged by introducing periodic kicks in the transverse direction along with adding disorder in the interaction direction. Although the battery Hamiltonian along with the initial state preserves the permutation symmetry, the dynamics in presence of disorder during the charging phase takes the system out of the permutation symmetric subspace, resulting to a larger amount of stored energy as compared to that without disorder. In the limit of large disorder, th…

Energy-Driven Evaluation of Network Digital Twinning Applied to mmWave Beam Management ↗
Network Digital Twins (NDTs) are important enablers of 6G and future networks. However, there is a lack of studies regarding practical aspects, such as the impact of simultaneously changing twinning rate, fidelity, and other NDT operational parameters. For instance, works often consider the impact of operational parameters in isolation or with physical twin (PTwin) implementations relying on simulations. Therefore, the main contribution of this work is to provide an in-depth study on the performance impacts of both twinning rate and fidelity, using PTwins that rely on measurements obtained fro…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
