Earlier sources: Energy
Energy research and engineering concern how power is produced, stored, delivered, and consumed. Follow solar and nuclear power, fusion, geothermal systems, batteries, electricity grids, and changing power demand.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗697 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Energy-efficient AI-enabled wireless sensor networks for health information delivery in rural communities ↗
In the field of healthcare, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are employed to continuously monitor patients, but they often struggle in resource-limited rural areas due to scarcity of resources, intermittent connectivity and inefficient data transmission. In this paper, an efficient and reliable health data delivery system using a Bio-Inspired Self-Learning Energy-Aware Wireless Sensor Network (BISLE WSN) is introduced. The proposed scheme aims to consume less energy by adjusting the network operation according to residual energy to avoid early battery depletion. A self-learning mechanism predic…

PV/T-assisted underfloor heating with phase change material to improve indoor thermal comfort in a test room designed according to nearly zero-energy building principles: experimental and numerical study ↗
Thermal energy storage is required in solar-assisted radiant heating systems because solar heat is mainly available during the daytime, whereas heating demand in highly insulated buildings often extends into the evening. This study experimentally and numerically investigates a roof-mounted photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T)-assisted hydronic underfloor heating system with RT22HC phase change material (PCM) integrated into the floor of a highly insulated test room located in a research building designed according to nearly zero-energy building (nZEB) principles in Elazığ, Türkiye. Field measurements o…

Direct calculation of the two-neutrino double-beta decay rate including the full lepton-energy dependence ↗
Abstract The calculation of the two-neutrino double-beta decay (DBD) rates has so far relied on approximations that decouple the nuclear structure from the emitted lepton kinematics. To ensure a more rigorous treatment, we propose an approach which incorporates the full interdependence between nuclear structure and lepton kinematics within a unified formula and performs calculations without resorting to these approximations. Deviations of the decay rates and electron spectra from the traditional methods, such as closure, non-closure, and Taylor expansion approximations, are presented and discu…

Nuclear recoil Migdal effect in liquid xenon dark matter experiments ↗
The Migdal effect predicts that a nuclear recoil (NR) can be accompanied by detectable atomic ionization or excitation signals, even at the low energies expected from interactions of sub-GeV dark matter particles with atomic nuclei. Liquid xenon-based dark matter experiments have projected substantial sensitivity gains to light dark matter based on this effect, underscoring the importance of its direct characterization in xenon. In this Letter, we draw on our theoretical and experimental studies of NR Migdal interactions to discuss their predicted characteristics and corresponding observable s…

Implicit-Explicit time integration scheme with Physics-based preconditioning for two-fluid tokamak boundary simulations ↗
In this work, a globally stiffly accurate Implicit-Explicit (IMEX) Runge-Kutta scheme is developed and implemented in the GBS code [Ricci et al., Plasma Phys. Control. Fusion, 2012], for two-fluid plasma turbulence simulations. The stiffest phenomena, governed by shear Alfvén waves and parallel diffusion, are treated implicitly, while the remaining non-stiff terms are advanced explicitly. This splitting enables time steps well beyond the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy limit, without incurring the full computational cost of a globally implicit formulation. To efficiently solve the implicit subsystem a…

A Rapid Integrated Tokamak Modelling Approach for Coupled Profile and Equilibrium Evolution ↗
During plasma heating and current ramps the thermal and magnetic states of a tokamak evolve on different timescales. We present a rapid integrated tokamak modelling approach, which couples a variational fixed-boundary Grad--Shafranov equilibrium to sparse particle and energy flux matching and to weak-form current diffusion. An ITER-like pure-deuterium scenario is examined: a current ramp from 10 to 15~MA over 20~s, a 20~s flat-top and a 20~s ramp-down to 14~MA, under 80~MW of electron-cyclotron heating applied at the start. The toroidal current density at the pedestal top more than doubles dur…

An Improved Informer-Based Load Forecasting Method Incorporating Electricity Consumption Profiling ↗
Accurate demand-side load forecasting is essential for reliable power system operation, energy management, and demand-side decision-making. However, heterogeneous electricity-use behavior among residential users and multiscale temporal variations remain major challenges for conventional forecasting models. To address these issues, this study develops an electricity-use-aware load forecasting method that integrates user behavior profiling with an improved Informer model. First, symbolic aggregate approximation (SAX) and hierarchical clustering are employed to extract representative load pattern…

Multi-Objective Optimisation of a Spanish Energy Community Powered by Renewable Energy-Based Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities ↗
The Energy Community (EC) can play an essential role in collective energy sharing and management by maximising on-site energy use among its members (i.e., consumers, producers, and prosumers). ECs can play a pivotal role in maximising emission reductions in the transport sector; thus, they need to expand the deployment of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities (EVCFs) powered by renewable energy sources (RESs). Therefore, the main aim of this study is to optimise energy consumption costs and maximise the RESs utilisation for household loads and EV charging (EVC) loads in a Spanish EC throug…

Cyclic energy storage performance and particle evolution in a directly irradiated fluidized reactor for calcium looping thermochemical energy storage ↗
Calcium looping thermochemical energy storage (CaL-TCES) integrated with directly irradiated fluidized reactor (DIFR) is promising for large-scale and long-duration energy storage. However, the thermochemical behavior and cyclic particle evolution in DIFR remain unclear. In this study, energy storage performance of CaL-TCES composite particles in DIFR is investigated, with a fixed bed irradiation test used as a reference to clarify the necessity of fluidization. In the fixed bed, high-flux and nonuniform irradiation causes a serious mismatch between localized solar heating and bed-scale calcin…

How to assess evidence about Energy
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
