Earlier sources: Solar
This energy thread follows solar through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗88 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Multi-Objective Reinforcement Learning for Economic Optimization of Photovoltaic Cleaning and Cooling Schedules ↗
Photovoltaic (PV) output in arid regions is reduced by dust soiling and elevated module temperatures, while cleaning and spray cooling consume water, energy, and labor. Scheduling these interventions is therefore an economic problem that fixed intervals and simple thresholds address imperfectly. We develop a reproducible simulator for five Moroccan sites across four climate regimes, using Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) dust aerosol and ERA5-Land meteorological reanalysis for 2004–2025. The model’s single soiling parameter is calibrated against published field rates; the modele…

Synergistic Additive and Bulky Cation Engineering via a Sequential Vacuum Dry‐Dipping Process for Tin Perovskite Solar Cells ↗
ABSTRACT Scalable fabrication of tin‐based perovskite solar cells (TPSCs) remains challenging due to rapid crystallization, poor film uniformity, and instability of Sn 2+ . Herein, we report a spin‐coating‐free approach, combining blade coating, vacuum‐drying, and controlled dipping methods, to achieve highly crystalline and uniform tin perovskite films. Through systematic studies, we reveal the universal role of SnI 2 in governing crystallization kinetics, where pre‐formed crystalline SnI 2 hinders cation diffusion, while amorphous SnI 2 promotes homogeneous film growth. Additive engineering…

High‐Performance, Air‐Stable and Eco‐Friendly Terpene‐Processed Organic Solar Cells via Solvent‐Composition‐Controlled Film Formation Kinetics ↗
ABSTRACT Terpene‐based solvents offer renewable and environmentally benign alternatives to halogenated solvents for sustainable solution processing of organic solar cells (OSCs). However, terpene‐processed OSCs still require improvements in power conversion efficiency (PCE). A key challenge is to ensure sufficient material solubility while controlling film‐formation kinetics to produce a favorable blend morphology. Here, we report efficient (PCE = 18.66%) and air‐stable terpene‐processed OSCs by controlling the composition of a eucalyptol (Eu):tetralin (Tet) binary solvent system. Using PM6:BT…

Numerical and experimental analysis of a photovoltaic-thermal evaporator integrated with a R-744 heat pump ↗
The integration of photovoltaic–thermal (PV-T) collectors with heat pumps is a promising pathway for decarbonizing heating and electricity production. This study investigates the thermal behavior of a PV-T collector operating under winter conditions as a direct-expansion evaporator for a CO₂ (R-744) heat pump installed at the ENEA Casaccia Research Centre (Rome, Italy). A coupled three-dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermal–energy model was developed and validated using outdoor experimental data, showing relative deviations below 10% for the refrigerant outlet temperature.…

Energy-reserve coordinated scheduling of cascade hydro-photovoltaic-pumped storage systems based on physics-constrained graph neural networks ↗
Intraday scheduling of cascade hydro-photovoltaic-pumped storage systems requires joint coordination of energy dispatch, photovoltaic accommodation, reserve security, and physical feasibility under photovoltaic fluctuation, load variation, inflow uncertainty, and limited storage capacity. Existing optimization methods can describe physical constraints, but their repeated solution in rolling scheduling depends on forecast inputs, uncertainty sets, or scenario construction. Data-driven dispatch models provide fast inference, yet generic temporal or graph structures may mix hydrological transfer,…

Device-level optimization and admittance-impedance analysis of quasi-2D perovskite solar cells ↗
Abstract Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have recently gained attention due to their high -power conversion efficiency, low fabrication cost and the increasing global demand for sustainable energy sources. However, the long-term stability of PSCs remains a major challenge. In this context, two-dimensional(2D) perovskites can be seen as a viable solution due to their high stability. This work focuses on quasi-2D PSC architecture which offers a balance between high efficiency and enhanced stability. The absorber material used in this study is (MAMP)MA n −1 Pb n I 3n+1 , an MAMP spacer-based Dion-J…

Chiral Phosphoserine Reconfigures the Energy Conversion Pathway for Efficient and Stable Sequentially Deposited Perovskite Solar Cells ↗
ABSTRACT FAPbI 3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs) fabricated via sequential deposition hold great promise for high photovoltaic performance. However, two bottlenecks remain persistent: transport‐limited conversion that leaves residual PbI 2 and the high thermal prerequisite to drive the δ‐to‐α phase transition, both of which deteriorate optoelectronic properties and accelerate degradation under illumination. Here, we introduced chiral molecules serine and phosphoserine (OPS) into the PbI 2 precursor to raise the reactivity of the inorganic scaffold toward the organic salt, and lowered the kinetic…

Laser-driven high-speed processing of perovskite solar cells: Emerging technologies and challenges ↗
Laser processing, as a non-contact, precise, and scalable technique, is playing an increasingly key role in advancing the fabrication of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). This review provides a critical, systematic overview of emerging laser technologies for PSCs, moving beyond simple cataloging of advances. This review covers laser-induced crystallization and defect passivation of the perovskite layer, laser annealing and modification of charge transport layers, and transparent electrodes. Crucially, we synthesize comparative data across studies, highlight contradictions and consensus in the fie…

Quasi-high-entropy alloy CoNiCuMnCd/NC directly derived from ZIF-type MOFs as counter electrode catalysts for dye-sensitized solar cells ↗
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) as counter electrode (CE) catalysts can promote the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), due to their intrinsic characteristics of the high configurational entropy, lattice distortion, delayed diffusion and cocktail effects. Herein, five transition metal (Co, Ni, Cu, Mn and Cd) ions were combined with 2-methylimidazole to assemble ZIF-type metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as sacrificial precursors. Then, the four transition metal alloy/N-doped carbon (NC) catalysts (CoNi/NC, CoNiCu/NC, CoNiCuMn/NC, and CoNiCuMnCd/NC) were derived re…

How to assess evidence about Solar
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
