Earlier sources: Fusion
This energy thread follows fusion through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗129 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Study of low-frequency core-edge coupling in a tokamak: III. Core-localized MHD continuum pulsations \& distant forced reconnection ↗
Slow magnetoacoustic pulsations (SMAPs) are found in MHD simulations of a tokamak plasma whose safety factor $q$ near the center is flat and slightly above unity ($q \gtrsim 1$). SMAPs are located on the central plateau of the slow magnetoacoustic continuum $ω_{\rm S} = k_\parallel c_{\rm S}$, where $c_{\rm S}$ is the speed of sound and $k_\parallel$ the wavenumber parallel to the magnetic field. In our model, SMAPs exist when the ion viscosity and thermal diffusivity are sufficiently low. They can be driven unstable by a pressure gradient in the $q \sim 1$ region when the electric resistivity…

MCOF: A Multi-Channel Attention-Based Omics Fusion Framework for Cancer Subtyping and Candidate Biomarker Prioritization ↗
Multi-omics molecular subtyping is complicated by small cohorts, heterogeneous data layers, and sensitivity to data splitting and feature selection. We developed multi-channel attention-based omics fusion (MCOF), an end-to-end framework that combines omics-specific projection, one-dimensional convolution, and integrated gradients for candidate biomarker prioritization. MCOF was evaluated against six baselines using five repeated stratified holdouts across four multi-omics datasets. In the restricted four-class breast invasive carcinoma task, MCOF achieved the highest observed mean for all five…

A Dual-Modality Fusion Framework with Adaptive Weighting for Intelligent Fault Diagnosis of UAVs ↗
The rapid expansion of the low-altitude economy places unprecedented demands on the safety and reliability of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). To address the limitations of single-modal feature extraction in capturing heterogeneous complementary information, this paper proposes a temporal and time–frequency dual-modality weighted fusion network (TTF-DWFNet) for UAV fault diagnosis. The proposed framework employs a parallel dual-branch architecture: a temporal modality branch utilizes a one-dimensional Transformer with a broadcast self-attention mechanism to model global temporal dependencies f…

Dynamic-Weight Fusion of 3D Pose Guidance and Image-Based Visual Servoing for Pre-Contact Alignment in Marine Engineering Equipment Assembly ↗
The small-clearance assembly of marine engineering equipment requires the robot to correct coupled pose deviations before contact while retaining fine local alignment. This paper presents an eye-in-hand red, green, and blue plus depth (RGB-D) controller that computes a 3D pose-guidance velocity and an image-based visual-servoing (IBVS) velocity in parallel. Distance and attitude-angle errors set a bounded gain on the 3D branch, while the IBVS gain remains fixed; both velocities are expressed in the same six-dimensional end-effector frame. Each of three initial-deviation conditions was repeated…

A Novel Class-Wise Dynamic Anchor Weighting Fusion Framework for Cross-Condition Fault Diagnosis of Offshore Wind Turbine Drivetrain Systems ↗
Offshore wind turbines operate under harsh and time-varying marine environments, leading to significant distribution shifts between source and target domains. These challenges are further intensified by limited fault samples, imbalanced class distributions, and difficult maintenance access in maritime scenarios. To address these issues, this paper proposes a multi-source domain adaptation method, termed the class-wise dynamic anchor weighting fusion framework (CDAWF), for offshore wind turbine drivetrain fault diagnosis. CDAWF dynamically assigns weights to different source domains according t…

Optimization of Downskin Surface Quality in Laser Powder Bed Fusion of IN718 for Supportless Manufacturing ↗
Support structures remain a major limitation of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), particularly for downward-facing surfaces prone to powder adhesion, dross formation, melt-pool instability, and staircase effects. This study investigates the downskin optimization of Inconel 718 (IN718), fabricated at a 35° inclination using a Renishaw RenAM 500S Flex. A Taguchi L25 orthogonal array was employed to evaluate three process parameters: hatch power (225–425 W), remelting times (0–4), and printing velocity (1100–1900 mm/s). Surface topography was characterized using an Alicona InfiniteFocus G5, with Sa…

Continuous-Time Alignment and Availability-Gated Fusion of Asynchronous Multi-Rate Power System Measurements ↗
Modern power system monitoring combines phasor measurement unit (PMU) reporting at up to 60 frames per second, SCADA scans arriving every few seconds, and event records that appear at irregular instants. These streams differ in rate by two orders of magnitude and are further corrupted by communication delay, packet loss, and missing entries. Common practice interpolates all sources onto a synchronized snapshot, which introduces stale values and interpolation distortion, while most deep sequence models assume equally spaced inputs. This paper presents CT-Align, a continuous-time fusion network…

FG-Net: A unified feature fusion graph-based framework for IoT intrusion attack classification ↗
The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a key enabler of intelligent systems, but it faces challenges related to security and privacy. Traditional Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) are not suitable to IoT environments due to constraints such as limited memory, processing power, and battery life. The majority of current models focus on homogeneous aggregation of network flows and neighbourhoods in the context of graph-based learning, making it impossible to distinguish malicious from benign flow representations and undermining the ability to capture attack specifics. To overcome these prob…

Evaluation of a cathelicidin derivative fusion polypeptide for pathogen-targeted antimicrobial approach ↗
Abstract The human cathelicidin LL-37 is one of the most promising candidates for replacing standard antibiotics due to its broad-spectrum activity and low propensity for resistance development. However, the widespread clinical adoption of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) is currently limited by the high cost and several constraints of traditional chemical synthesis. Recombinant expression offers a cost-effective and scalable alternative, although challenges including host toxicity and low expression yields remain. In previous studies, the human elastin-like polypeptide (HELP) carrier effectively…

How to assess evidence about Fusion
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
