Earlier sources: Battery Storage
This energy thread follows battery storage through original research, public projects, and source reports. Read the evidence below to see which developments are represented in SYMTRI’s archive.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗143 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Electromagnetic Interference resilient augmented state nonlinear observer for coupled battery converter dynamics in electric vehicles ↗
Abstract The design and analysis of a novel EMI-aware augmented-state nonlinear observer for the electric vehicle battery-converter subsystem considering corrupted voltages and currents is presented in this study. As opposed to classical model-based observer design methodologies, which view any type of sensor imperfection as noise, this novel approach involves incorporating structured electromagnetic interference influences, sensor bias, and conversion error as part of the modeling framework. A reduced first-principles battery–converter model is developed to describe the dominant SOC, polariza…

Uni-Mamba: A unified framework for cross-material and cross-condition battery state-of-health estimation via domain-adaptive state space models ↗
Accurate state-of-health (SOH) estimation across different battery chemistries and operating conditions remains challenging because material properties, cycling protocols, and long-term temporal evolution strongly influence degradation features extracted from measurable signals. These differences lead to substantial distribution shifts between source- and target-domain batteries, thereby limiting the cross-domain transferability of conventional data-driven models. To address this issue, this paper proposes Uni-Mamba, a cross-domain SOH estimation framework that integrates health-feature repres…

Genetic Algorithm-Optimized Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Robust Voltage Regulation in Standalone DFIG-Based Wind Energy Systems with Battery Storage: Real-Time Experimental Implementation ↗
The design, modeling, and experimental validation of a Genetic Algorithm (GA)-optimized Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) strategy for voltage regulation in a standalone Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) based on a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) are presented in this study. The proposed system is designed to operate under variable wind conditions and nonlinear load profiles, with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) connected to the rotor side to enhance system performance and stability. A battery management algorithm is incorporated to ensure safe operation and maintain…

Digital-Twin Attention-Augmented Adaptive Model Predictive Control for Degradation-Aware Residential Battery Energy Management ↗
Residential battery energy management systems increasingly rely on model predictive control (MPC), yet most schemes assume a fixed horizon, a noise-free state and an uncalibrated forecaster. This paper proposes DT-AAMPC, an adaptive MPC that combines a Kalman-filtered battery digital twin with an attention-BiLSTM forecaster (TAB-Net) whose attention entropy yields a confidence signal that adapts the controller’s horizon, uncertainty penalty, and state-of-charge back-off online. We evaluate it using corrected code executed on the real dataset at a reduced but realistic validation scale (three s…

Synergistic enhancement of triplex-tube thermal storage performance using PCM radial cascade and fins ↗
Ten 3D models are created to examine the impacts of PCM radial cascade and adding fins to improve the heat storage capacity of horizontal triplex-tube storage systems. The thermal storage performance is assessed by calculating key indicators such as heat storage time, heat storage capacity, liquid fraction, average melting enhancement ratio during the thermal storage process. In comparison to the single-PCM triplex-tube (Case 0), the results show that the PCM radial cascaded triple tube structure (Case 1) has respectively increased the stored energy, heat storage rate by 19.3%, 19.4%, and shor…

Energy Analysis of an ICE and Electrolyzer-Based Poly-Generative System with Renewable Energy Storage Supporting Green Mobility and Building Loads ↗
This study evaluates a poly-generative (PG) system integrating a biomass-fed ICE co-generator, a photovoltaic (PV) system, and a PEM electrolyzer. Located in Rende, Italy (Lat. 39.3° N), the system is designed to reduce grid dependence by supplying electric energy for EV charging, hydrogen for FCHEV refueling, and thermal energy for building loads. The present work extends the energy assessment to four representative seasonal days, two mobility-demand scenarios, part-load ICE operation, and a Vehicle-to-Grid strategy to manage PV surplus and support fixed-load hydrogen production. This integra…

Cooperative state of charge and state of health estimation for lithium-ion battery packs: An adaptively tuned dual extended Kalman filter enhanced by gated recurrent unit ↗
To enhance the accuracy of state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) estimation for lithium-ion battery packs under wide temperature range, dynamic loads, and aging processes, a dual-branch gated recurrent unit (GRU)-driven dual-time scale dual extended Kalman filter (DEKF) collaborative estimation framework is proposed. An innovative temperature-adaptive equivalent circuit model is designed to characterize the internal polarization characteristics of battery packs at different temperatures. Battery current, voltage, and temperature time-series features are fed into a dual-branch GRU net…

Excellent energy storage performance of polyvinylidene fluoride-based all-organic dielectrics via introducing semi-interpenetrating networks ↗
Polymer film capacitors have attracted much attention in power electronic systems due to high power density and rapid charging/discharging capabilities. However, high dielectric loss under high electric fields severely limits the energy storage performance of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) dielectrics. In this study, the poly(methyl methacrylate - carboxylic anhydride) (P(MMA- co -MA)) copolymer was prepared. 4, 4′-oxydianiline (ODA) was used as a crosslinking agent to introduce an amide crosslinking network into PVDF-based ternary blends (mass ratios of PVDF/PMMA/P(MMA- co -MA) = 50:25:25), w…

Flexible interconnection of highway service-area multi-microgrids via mobile energy storage: A coordinated stochastic planning framework ↗
The rapid electrification of highway transportation is increasing electric-vehicle charging demand at highway service areas, particularly in weak-grid and off-grid regions where reliable power supply is difficult to guarantee. Conventional self-contained service-area energy systems mainly rely on local renewable generation and stationary storage, which may lead to redundant capacity investment because spatial complementarity among geographically distributed service areas is not fully exploited. This paper proposes a mobile-energy-storage system (MESS)-enabled flexible interconnection framework…

Coupled electro-thermal investigation of series-parallel lithium-ion battery packs with phase change materials-based cooling at high discharge rates ↗
Owing to their extended cycle life, high energy density, superior power-to-weight ratio, and low self-discharge, the lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely adopted in next-generation electric vehicles (EVs). However, excessive heat generation at high discharge rates can compromise safety and performance. This study investigates the electro-thermal behaviour of pouch-type LiMn 2 O 4 cells in six series-parallel configurations (12S1P, 6S2P, 4S3P, 3S4P, 2S6P, and 1S12P) at discharge rates of 3C 9C using a Multi-Scale Multi-Domain (MSMD) framework coupled with the Newman-Tiedemann-Gu-Kim (NTGK) b…

How to assess evidence about Battery Storage
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
