THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence covers systems that learn from data, generate content, perceive their surroundings, or act toward a goal. Follow model research, agent tooling, evaluation, and the infrastructure used to build and run these systems.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

5196 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

    kindlingai/glm-5.3-flash-exlr8-k2-k3-k4 — model update ↗

    # GLM-5.3-Flash EXLR8 expert weights (K2/K3/K4) This repository contains the converted EXLR8 expert weights for GLM-5.3-Flash MoE layers 3–45, including MTP layer 45. It also retains the raw per-job encode outputs used to create them. ## Expert files For each MoE layer `LLL`, the converted weights are stored as: - `experts/exlr8-layer-LLL.index.safetensors` — offsets, side data, checksums, and expert metadata - `experts/exlr8-layer-LLL.k2.safetensors` - `experts/exlr8-layer-LLL.k3.safetensors` - `experts/exlr8-layer-LLL.k4.safetensors` - `hashes/` — SHA-256 sidecars for each generated file Cov

Forecast lead time and the timing of crew deployment for weather-driven power outages using AI weather models ↗

Utilities request mutual aid crews to restore power after severe storms, and requesting early secures more crews but relies on less accurate forecasts. We examined how forecast lead time affects the value of outage predictions for crew deployment, using operational forecasts from two AI weather models, GraphCast and FourCastNet, to predict outage occurrence for counties across the contiguous United States 24 to 120 hours ahead. Forecasts were evaluated by the share of outage burden captured by the counties where crews would be staged. Captured burden declined with lead time: the loss between t…

How to assess evidence about Artificial Intelligence

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
