THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence covers systems that learn from data, generate content, perceive their surroundings, or act toward a goal. Follow model research, agent tooling, evaluation, and the infrastructure used to build and run these systems.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗5208 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

GeoCloak: An Agentic Framework for Semantics-Preserving Geolocation Privacy via Peripheral Clue Manipulation ↗
The rapid advancement of large vision language models (LVLMs) has made geolocation inference from images highly accurate and accessible. This poses serious privacy risks: a passive adversary with black-box LVLM access can infer a user's location from a single photo with no metadata. Existing protection methods rely almost exclusively on adversarial perturbation, which introduces perceptible visual artifacts and utility degradation. We identify the visual-geolocation asymmetry: geolocation-decisive clues, such as street signs, tend to be visually peripheral but dominate location inference. Expl…

CoRedSkill: Stealthy Skill Composition Attacks via AST-Guided Injection ↗
Agents extend their capabilities through reusable skills that package instructions, executable code, and resources. Composing these skills enables complex task workflows, but their dependencies can also connect malicious operations across skills, making their combined intent difficult to identify through individual-package auditing. We introduce CoRedSkill, a compositional red-teaming method that forms stealthy attacks through cooperating skills while preserving their original utility. CoRedSkill decomposes an existing workflow into interdependent skills and embeds attack operations in task fu…

SWE-Nexus: Automated Composition of Software Engineering Tasks from Test Execution ↗
Historical code changes provide convenient task boundaries, but do not identify which production functions selected tests exercise or support composing validated behaviors beyond a single change. We present SWE-Nexus, a fully automated pipeline that constructs repository-level implementation tasks from test execution. Four construction agents select tests, adapt tracing and evaluation protocols to each repository, and generate behavioral specifications. For each selected test file, tracing records an observed execution footprint of production function bodies. A scope is retained only if all ex…

LintEval: Benchmarking LLMs on Linter-Guided File Refactoring ↗
Linters are widely used in code maintenance and real-time IDE editing to surface lint alerts related to performance, style, error-prone, and other patterns in source files. However, existing code benchmarks do not explicitly evaluate linter-guided file refactoring, where models must reduce lint alerts in source files with correct initial functionality while satisfying functionality preservation. We introduce LintEval, a multilingual benchmark for linter-guided file refactoring across C++, Python, and Java, comprising 13,061 programs with correct initial functionality and 171,662 lint alerts ex…

How to assess evidence about Artificial Intelligence
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
