THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence covers systems that learn from data, generate content, perceive their surroundings, or act toward a goal. Follow model research, agent tooling, evaluation, and the infrastructure used to build and run these systems.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

5411 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Show HN: An open source AI leaderboard of the best models your machine can run ↗

Hi everyone, I made whatmodel. It's a simple site that can be visited in the browser or used from the terminal via a: curl whatmodel.sh To use it, 1. Enter your RAM and GPU 2. See what models you can run locally with its rank and the command to run it 3. Compare them with API models on the same score Building it made me realise a 32GB Mac can now run a model that scores on par with GPT-5, completely locally and for free (e.g. Qwen 3.8 27B at 4-bi…

Show HN: I made an AI free version of my directory of open-source alternatives ↗

I've been running OpenAltFinder for almost 16 months now, and received quite a bit of positive feedback. The directory has also grown substantially. Over the last few months I've been receiving more and more submissions that were AI-assisted/vibe-coded. Personally I'm a bit skeptical (both quality wise, and longevity wise), but I also want to give everyone a chance to showcase what they've build. I had already added an "AI-assisted" label, but ri…

LiteRT is Google's on-device runtime, the new name for TensorFlow Lite (Android: `com.google.ai.edge.litert:litert`), and `litert-torch`, the renamed `ai-edge-torch`, is its PyTorch converter: a PyTorch model converted unmodified with `litert_torch.convert` matched the original to 4e-7 on a Galaxy S26 ([measured](https://github.com/john-rocky/apple-silicon-llm-bench/blob/main/results/android/tinyhybridnet-three-runtimes.md), LiteRT 2.2.0, Android 16, 2026-09-05). 📖 Documentation | 🤗 Model Hub ## 1. Model Introduction FluxVLA Engine is an integrated engineering platform designed for embodied intelligence applications. It follows the core design principles of unified configuration, standardized interfaces, module decoupling, and deployability, forming a complete engineering loop from data collection to real-world deployment. With a focus on building a "standardized industrial-academic-research foundation," FluxVLA significantly lowers the engineering threshold for VLA (Visual Language Agent) research and development. ### Key Features 🧩 **Rich VLA Mode

Multivariate phase-space interpretation of ensemble forecasts: A comparison of physical and AI models ↗

Ensemble forecasts from the ECMWF's Integrated Forecasting System (IFS) and the Artificial Intelligence Forecasting System (AIFS-ENS) are compared using a multi-dimensional evaluation framework. Within this framework, the uncertainty is interpreted as the linear subspace spanned by the ensemble members in phase space, from which various geometric properties are extracted. As revealed by the analysis, the error does not entirely lie in this subspace, but is reasonably well calibrated in all directions. Moreover, the framework allows to quantify that this subspace critically depends on the numbe…

How to assess evidence about Artificial Intelligence

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
