THE INTERNET IS THINKING
Earlier sources: Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence covers systems that learn from data, generate content, perceive their surroundings, or act toward a goal. Follow model research, agent tooling, evaluation, and the infrastructure used to build and run these systems.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗5909 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

On the Reliability of LLM-Based Vulnerability Patching Benchmarks ↗
Large language models (LLMs) have shown strong potential for automated vulnerability patching, but current benchmarks can substantially distort reported performance. Drawing on extensive experience developing, running, and stress-testing such frameworks, we identify under-examined pitfalls across three dimensions: (1) agent-level factors, where prompting, tool availability, and detailed instructions can raise success rates without improving developer-aligned patch quality; (2) framework-level factors, where permission errors, infrastructure bugs, and timeout handling can silently suppress or i…

Tell HN: Apple not letting removal of AI models on macOS 27 is outrageous ↗
I feel like there's not enough outrage over Apple not removing their Apple Intelligence models on macOS 27 even after disabling Siri. I have a 512 GB Mac mini but because I have so much data, I also have a 2 TB monthly iCloud subscription. I have Siri AI turned off. Yet, my storage settings show 30 GB is occupied by useless Apple Intelligence models which I don't use. And these models can't even be moved to my 2 TB iCloud subscription. It's reall…

Show HN: I had 100 tabs open, so I built Daysift with AI powered by Proton ↗
I built Daysift because I kept ending up with 100+ tabs open just to avoid losing things I had seen or browsed before. Bookmarks never really worked for me because often you don't remember where something was, or what it was called. However, often I remembered what it was about. It's a Chrome extension that gives you a private way to find anything you visited before. It currently filters out noise, or things that don't associate with productivity…

AdaT$^2$: Adaptive Test Transformations for Black-Box Boundary Testing of Conversational Agents ↗
Conversational agents based on large language models (LLMs) must comply with policies. Each condition in a policy draws a boundary between user requests, and the agent must behave differently on its two sides. We present AdaT$^2$, which extracts statements from the agent's replies in exploratory conversations with an LLM acting as the user, and uses the statements to guide boundary test generation. Each statement describes one condition and the behavior expected when the condition holds. Besides plain tests guided by single statements, AdaT$^2$ writes transformed tests guided by pairs of a sta…

How to assess evidence about Artificial Intelligence
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
