THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence covers systems that learn from data, generate content, perceive their surroundings, or act toward a goal. Follow model research, agent tooling, evaluation, and the infrastructure used to build and run these systems.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

6057 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. Recent momentum: steady. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

AI Emulation of Stochastic Sudden Stratospheric Warming with Interpretable Latent Structure ↗

Rare weather regime transitions pose a challenge for data-driven modeling due to class imbalance. In this study, we develop a probabilistic deep learning emulator for a prototypical system with regime transitions, the stochastic Holton--Mass model of stratospheric variability, and analyze the structure of its learned latent space. The Holton--Mass model exhibits two metastable regimes, a strong and a weak polar vortex, maintained by nonlinear wave--mean flow interactions, with weak stochastic forcing intermittently triggering rare transitions between these regimes that qualitatively represent…

Show HN: I made a computer vision tool for evaluating deadlift form ↗

I've shared a few deadlift demos in the past. This new demo includes some new models, accessed through the VLM Run Gateway: - SAM 3.1 to segment the barbell weight plate - ViTPose+ Large to measure the hip hinge angle, which serves as a backup for segmenting the reps. The pose data can definitely be used more later. - Gemma 4 26B through the Gateway's TypeSafe-compatible API to output the probability of the back being rounded or not. The predicti…

Show HN: Keel – Give your agent a typed strategy language, not a trading account ↗

I’ve been using AI agents to build systematic strategies on Hyperliquid for over a year, and slowly built up a reliable system to represent, test and deploy strategies. Typically there are a few options 1) llm in the execution loop, ie it makes decisions and trades, but that is slow, inconsistent and hard to audit 2) you have an agent write all the code, backtest etc, but it makes tons of subtle mistakes with time series data and diff timeframe e…

How to assess evidence about Artificial Intelligence

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
