Earlier sources: AI and robotics
Robotics combines physical machines with sensing, planning, and control. This AI thread follows learning-based robot policies, simulation, perception, and evaluation in physical environments.
SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.
Open in the map ↗41 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.
Earlier sources
Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

Development of an AI-Powered Humanoid Robot for Assistive and Collaborative Applications in Education and Industrial Automation ↗
AbstractHumanoid robots that can move through a space, respond to spoken questions and represent an organisation to thepublic are an increasingly common bridge between robotics research and everyday institutional use. This paper reportsthe design, fabrication and field evaluation of an AI-powered humanoid robot developed as an interactive campusinformation assistant. The robot's body was modelled in SolidWorks and additively manufactured in two ABS sectionsthat were bonded, puttied, sanded and painted to a finished shell; mobility is provided by 12 V DC geared motorsdriven through a Cytron 10…

CORNAV: Construction-Aware Reasoning for Robot Navigation on Active Worksites ↗
The construction industry faces persistent labor shortages, low productivity that costs the global economy over $1.6 trillion annually, and one of the highest injury rates among major industries. These factors motivate the use of autonomous robots to improve efficiency and worker safety. Existing language-grounded navigation systems, however, rely on semantic scene understanding alone and lack access to construction-specific context such as architectural plans, evolving work schedules, and safety constraints. As a result, they localize permanent building features unreliably and cannot safely n…

Bridging Frontier Reasoning and Robot Execution: From Autonomous Demonstration Generation to Dense Language Supervision ↗
Recent advances in frontier models enable robot manipulation from only a few demonstrations, but high inference latency limits their use for real-time robot control. To bridge this gap, we study two complementary approaches that connect frontier reasoning with low-latency local execution. First, we use a frontier model to autonomously generate demonstrations that supplement human demonstrations for training a fast local policy. We augment its in-context examples with corrective demonstration segments that show how to recover from physical errors, improving generation reliability. Generation ti…

Hyperautomated Hazard Mitigation Using Integrated, Scalable, and Sustainable Robotics and UAV Systems ↗
Natural and anthropogenic disasters are rising in frequency and severity, and reactive, single-technology response models are now the principal bottleneck in safeguarding planetary health. This article develops Hyperautomated Hazard Mitigation (HHM), in which robots, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and artificial intelligence (AI) services operate as one integrated, self-optimizing system rather than as isolated tools. Hazard mitigation is treated as a specific resilience behavior of a multi-agent engineering system, building on established proactive-resilience theory rather than presenting t…

Reconstruct, Practice, Go Real: Guided Self-Improvement for Embodied Agents ↗
Building reliable robot capabilities across diverse tasks requires substantial human effort to develop and maintain skills, design rewards, and integrate perception with control. We present Reconstruct, Practice, Go Real (RPG), a framework for autonomous improvement of robot execution systems without updating model weights. RPG identifies manipulation capabilities in an offline dataset and constructs related practice tasks in simulation. During practice, RPG uses execution feedback, privileged simulator state, and available dataset videos to diagnose failures. It develops new reusable symbolic…

How to assess evidence about AI and robotics
Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
