THE INTERNET IS THINKING

Earlier sources: Language models

Language models learn patterns in text and other representations to predict or generate sequences. Follow model releases, training methods, reasoning, evaluation, and deployment research; a benchmark result is specific to its test conditions.

SYMTRI organizes observations from public sources into a living map. Connections reflect shared subject matter; they do not establish causation or endorse a source.

449 classified signals in the fourteen-day window. These counts include signals awaiting readable evidence.

Earlier sources

Up to ten sources with readable evidence, ordered by their feed timestamp. These archive sources can be older than the live fourteen-day window. This list is a sample, not a measure of total activity. Dates distinguish paper publication, repository creation, model/dataset activity, Hacker News posts, and KEV catalog additions. “First archived” records when SYMTRI first stored the signal.

AI Consilium: a Benchmark of LLM Clinical Multidisciplinary Second Opinions ↗

Large language models (LLMs) can generate differential diagnoses for complex cases, but a useful second opinion must also be factually grounded, clinically coherent, actionable, and safe. We developed a multidimensional benchmark using 300 diagnostically resolved NEJM--MedQA cases: 110 for physician reference ratings and Judge calibration and 190 for held-out evaluation. Eight single-model pipelines generated independent role-specific opinions and interactive-consilium reports under free-form and structured clinical-reasoning conditions. A physician-calibrated LLM Judge evaluated 3,040 final r…

Bubble-Sort Exchange Networks: Symmetry Selection Rules and Language-Model Distillation on Exchange-Only Spin Chains ↗

On a chain of exchange-coupled quantum dots a Heisenberg exchange pulse of area pi is a SWAP, so the parallel bubble-sort SWAP network of superconducting chains is native to exchange-only (EO) spin qubits, and any other pulse area fuses routing with an entangling interaction. We build a variational "bubble-sort exchange network" (odd-even transposition, one parameter per pulse) and study it as a Born machine read out by Pauli spin blockade. Exchange conserves total spin, so the reachable readout distributions are fixed by the total-spin content of the initial product state. For the two-spin si…

Coverage-Preserving Self-Healing in Partially Observable 3D UAV Swarm Networks via an Advection-Diffusion Graph Transformer ↗

This paper investigates the resilience and self-healing of unmanned aerial vehicle swarm communication networks under severe network partitioning in complex and adversarial environments. To address limited global observability after damage, we develop a damage-state inference mechanism that enables the ground control station (GCS) to infer global failures from sparse local reports without transmitting location-sensitive coordinates. To recover multi-cluster partitioned topologies, we then propose AdDiff-GT, a physics-inspired graph Transformer that incorporates advection-diffusion dynamics int…

Decoding What iOS Location Services Send to Apple: An LLM Is an Unreliable Analyst but a Useful Toolmaker ↗

Reverse engineering the data formats used by mobile software is skilled and slow, and using AI to assist with it is attractive. We evaluate this for the protobuf messages that an iPhone sends to Apple's location services. Working from Apple's binaries, we use two frontier models (Claude Opus 4.8, Codex GPT Sol 5.6) to reconstruct the schemas of protobufs observed in network traffic. The great majority of the schemas contain substantial errors, and these are hard to detect because the schemas are internally consistent. Direct AI use is therefore unsuitable for forensic and privacy analysis. AI…

Independent Data-Integrity Verification for LLM-Driven Functional Coverage Closure in Hardware Design ↗

LLM agents can write directed tests that close functional coverage, but coverage only shows that a state was reached, not that the data on the way there was correct. This is a long-known point in verification and we do not claim it as new. We describe a small coverage-closure agent that applies it to an LLM loop: coverage is read from the report that the simulation itself exports (cocotb-coverage YAML) and never taken from the model's account, and data integrity is checked by scoreboards that are separate from the model. On three architecturally distinct RTL designs (an asynchronous FIFO, a UA…

BiShield-TEE: On the (In-)Security of Unilateral Weight Obfuscation in On-Device TEE-Shielded LLM Partition ↗

On-device deployment of large language models (LLMs) is increasingly adopted due to latency and privacy requirements, but exposes proprietary models to reverse engineering and intellectual property theft. Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) provide hardware-enforced isolation for on-device inference, yet most TEE-based parameter obfuscation relies on unilateral matrix transformations that obfuscate only output side. We identify a vulnerability in this design, termed the \emph{Solution Determinacy Property (SDP)}: the obfuscation secret is uniquely determined, exposing the structure of the tr…

How to assess evidence about Language models

Check each original source for its methods, release status, limitations, and supporting data. A repository announcement, a preprint, and a published study provide different kinds of evidence. SYMTRI’s subject classification helps discovery; it does not independently validate the source’s claims.
